Steve White :
We are working hard at @Se_Railway to improve our stations and our trains.
The first class 376 metro train is now in its splendid blue livery. All 36 trains will receive a full interior and exterior refresh. The first interior refresh will be completed later this year ❤️
It has only been re-liveried, not refurbished.
At a guess, the panel on the 376 may already have been white, while the 707s panel may have been painted dark blue, from new, to contrast against the SWT red... given both livery jobs are supposed to just be Vinyl![]()
So this odd white bit on the door panel is actually permanent? So wierd as the recent 707s are painted without such need to distinguish the panel. Is it due to the button lighting isn't as bright as on the 707s??

707s door button panel was red from new prior to its life on se.At a guess, the panel on the 376 may already have been white, while the 707s panel may have been painted dark blue, from new, to contrast against the SWT red... given both livery jobs are supposed to just be Vinyl
It might be that the door panel remains white because the door button itself has kept its blue colour? (button and panel can’t be the same colour) Thats the only explanation I can think of.So this odd white bit on the door panel is actually permanent? Agreed, they've gone a bit far with the compliance here and it looks very odd707s door button panel was red from new prior to its life on se.

Though I do find it very odd that there is white colour that also surrounding the panel. The panel alone being white is already visible and distinguishable enough. No need to add anymore white on.
I understand trying to make sure the door panels stand out but the way TOCs have included this on livery design has been inconsistent alot and lack lustre. Sometimes there is also such thing and making things too obvious for people.

Not together though. 376027 was out with white 376010 today.I believe 376033 & 376027 are the units currently blue.
No, only 376027 is in blue at the moment.I believe 376033 & 376027 are the units currently blue.
Currently at Sevenoaks, about to work 2F58 1820 to Charing X
It's a pleasing livery. The 375s look so much better in blue than the dull original white. They look absolutely gorgeous in that livery.
Why should there have been?Shame the 376s, like the Metro fleet, won't be kept in Connex white and gold. Following SWT's thinking, there should've been a differentiation between metro and mainline stocks.
Considering the sheer amount of vandalism on the Connex networks back in the day, I'm just surprised they went with mostly white at all!!Shame the 376s, like the Metro fleet, won't be kept in Connex white and gold.
