As mentioned upthread, just after midnight 701 operation is officially switching over to DOGC, which also coincides with when the first trainees should complete their training (6 day course) as it begun on Tuesday.
I believe the trainees who started on Tuesday have two more days as the training course doesn't run on weekends. As mentioned upthread, just after midnight 701 operation is officially switching over to DOGC, which also coincides with when the first trainees should complete their training (6 day course) as it begun on Tuesday.
Was wondering that, thanks for confirmingI believe the trainees who started on Tuesday have two more days as the training course doesn't run on weekends.
From monday it seems there will be multipleHow many drivers attend each course (roughly)? Is there only capacity for one cohort at a time or could multiple courses be run on an overlapping basis to speed things up?
How have they been operated until now? Among all the discussions of different flavours of door control, I've lost track of what's actually being used.As mentioned upthread, just after midnight 701 operation is officially switching over to DOGC, which also coincides with when the first trainees should complete their training (6 day course) as it begun on Tuesday.
DOGC but it wasn’t in “official” writing. It was switched over due to the lack of DCO approved stationsHow have they been operated until now? Among all the discussions of different flavours of door control, I've lost track of what's actually being used.
Thanks for the explanation, I understand the meaning of post #12961 now.DOGC but it wasn’t in “official” writing. It was switched over due to the lack of DCO approved stations
701017Are there any 701s in passenger service today? I can't find any on RTT
It's another single-701 weekend. Also only one set of 458/4s running. Are there any 701s in passenger service today? I can't find any on RTT
Which services are booked for single 455 diagram?Down to 22 pairs and 1 single 455 from May. 12 pairs of 458/4s diagrammed.
2R02/2S11/2S20 then in the afternoon 2S47/2S56/2V57, currently booked 4-car 450 except 2R02 which is currently 8-car 450.Which services are booked for single 455 diagram?
The reduction to 455 diagrams is on the premise of 14 701 diagrams and, as you correctly pointed out, 24 459 diagrams in the base plan. The former is clearly unrealistic for the start of the TT period hence many 701 booked turns in the base plan will continue to be worked by 455s on an STP basis. There is no more 455 currently being planned for scrap for a couple of months yet.Thank you for this information. If 455s go down from 60 diagrams to 45, and 458/4 go up from 18 to 24, then that still leaves a shortfall of 9 4-car units when compared to now. Does that mean the number of 701 diagrams increases from 6 in May, or does that mean further shortening of main line Desiro diagrams? I was assuming the pair of 458/5 diagram would end in May, but perhaps it does not.

It’s actually going back to a 2C diagramThank you for this explanation. If I may ask, is the turn booked for the 458/5 pair due to end with timetable change? If so, will they be added in to the STP mix to cover booked 701 turns.
It’s actually going back to a 2C diagram
Thank you. Would that be the diagram that is currently 2*455 all day and which is 2*458/5 on Saturdays?
So no more 458/5 from May right? Makes sense as there’s only a pair available each day.I know that 2C35 is one of them
That’s the opposite of what I was saying. They are diagrammed on a 2C diagram come MaySo no more 458/5 from May right? Makes sense as there’s only a pair available each day.

Ah splendid. It’s actually going back to a 2C diagram
I see. I read that as meaning a 455 was taking over, I don't know why. Must be chock full of miles still then. That’s the opposite of what I was saying. They are diagrammed on a 2C diagram come May
