As mentioned upthread, just after midnight 701 operation is officially switching over to DOGC, which also coincides with when the first trainees should complete their training (6 day course) as it begun on Tuesday.

I believe the trainees who started on Tuesday have two more days as the training course doesn't run on weekends.

How many drivers attend each course (roughly)? Is there only capacity for one cohort at a time or could multiple courses be run on an overlapping basis to speed things up?

How have they been operated until now? Among all the discussions of different flavours of door control, I've lost track of what's actually being used.

DOGC but it wasn’t in “official” writing. It was switched over due to the lack of DCO approved stations

Which services are booked for single 455 diagram?
2R02/2S11/2S20 then in the afternoon 2S47/2S56/2V57, currently booked 4-car 450 except 2R02 which is currently 8-car 450.

2C11 which currently comes off 2R02 will instead come off 2C08, keeping as 8-car 450, and the latter no longer splitting for 2S11 and 1B87, with 1B87 coming off 2P12 as a 5-car 444, and 1A11/1A24/2L25/2L38 all becoming 8-car 450 off a set from Wimbo rather than from 2P12.

Thank you for this information. If 455s go down from 60 diagrams to 45, and 458/4 go up from 18 to 24, then that still leaves a shortfall of 9 4-car units when compared to now. Does that mean the number of 701 diagrams increases from 6 in May, or does that mean further shortening of main line Desiro diagrams? I was assuming the pair of 458/5 diagram would end in May, but perhaps it does not.
The reduction to 455 diagrams is on the premise of 14 701 diagrams and, as you correctly pointed out, 24 459 diagrams in the base plan. The former is clearly unrealistic for the start of the TT period hence many 701 booked turns in the base plan will continue to be worked by 455s on an STP basis. There is no more 455 currently being planned for scrap for a couple of months yet.

Thank you for this explanation. If I may ask, is the turn booked for the 458/5 pair due to end with timetable change? If so, will they be added in to the STP mix to cover booked 701 turns.
