A semi-rural part of north-west England
We next move to England for the next journey.....

This is number 1005 in the series so far.....

The journey starts at the closed station of Skellingthorpe
It follows the line of the Great Northern and Great Eastern Joint Railway
It then follows the line of the SYR Doncaster to Barnsley Line
It then follows the line of the SYR Blackburn Valley Line
It then follows the line of the Sheffield and Rotherham Railway
It then follows the line of the Midland Railway "New Main Line"
It then follows the line of the North Midland Railway
It then follows the line of the MR Erewash Valley Line
It then follows the line of the MR Ambergate to Pye Bridge Line...link line only, no closed stations (only heritage ones)
It then follows the line of the MR Ripley Branch Line
It then follows the line of the MR Melbourne Line
It then follows the line of the MR Castle Donington Line
The journey ends at the closed station of Castle Donington and Shardlow

The first closed station on this journey is Skellingthorpe
