The Indian Women team are not doing too badly either. On day 1 of the Womens International Test Match Series, against South Africa Women, India amassed a total of 525-4 in 98 overs.

Verma 205 not out with 8 x 6 and 23 x 4 together with Mandhana 149 with 1 x 6 and 26 x 4 had an opening stand of 291.

This tournament has proved conclusively the stranglehold that BCCI have over world cricket. All competitions seem to be run to their wishes and always to fit in with the IPL. We should not be playing a world tournament in the Carribean at this time of year. The English domestic season is a mess, and we'll soon have the pointless Hundred upon us. 1st July in 2 days, and no sign of a test match. I can see a time coming when the other international teams are going to have to stand up to India, but no doubt the money will win out.

India have beaten South Africa by 7 runs to win the T20 WC.
Thanks, in part, to one of those brilliant catches which would never even have been attempted in Richie Benaud's time in which the fielder (Suryakumar Yadav at long-off) throws the ball into the air, crosses the boundary line and comes back in again to catch it again.

One might say SA choked. Think it was down to a run a ball with four overs left? Fair play to the Indians for getting over the line. That catch as well….
Agree with you, but maybe it was in the stars that on this occasion Virat Kohli's class and brilliance won over after it wasn't to be in India last Autumn. He really did save his by far best performance for when it truly counted.

30 required from 30 after a superb Klaasen over, then he got out and they cramped up
