They delicence buses over the summer as the PVR is less while the schools are off, there are some spare vehicles but not many. 97 is a brand new stock built vehicle, it did carry the registration SK71 CKV but was never taxed with that plate or used with it. 355-8/60 have gone to Hedingham Buses.

It’s a 71 plate, although no idea if it has previously been on the road.

The older Gemini's get delicensed in July due to the schools and colleges finishing. These are back on the road from September. Also EY is still running a reduced service on pretty much every route and has been for a while due to the national shortage of drivers, so naturally the PVR has dropped for now.

Thanks, this makes a bit more sense now.

In regards to sending buses to Hedingham, I use their Clacton services a couple of times a year and East Yorkshire certainly put them to shame, it's clearly a very budget operation.

I’m hoping that 808 goes next so that they are all in numerical order, although given how they’ve done it in the past (66 branded as 378/9/380 and 389) - I’m not too optimistic

• 23 will now run to and terminate at Molescroft
• 24 frequency reduced throughout the day
• 25 between Hessle and Beverley via Castle Hill cut back to every 2 hours, Beverley to Hornsea remains as hourly. The evening service between Beverley and Hornsea will only operate on Friday and Saturday
• 121 evening service only running between Hull and Leconfield rather than Nafferton on Sundays through to Thursdays
• X46 minor route change in York
• X28 service withdrawn
• 142 weekday service withdrawn
• 151 withdrawn
• 152 going back to old route and terminating at Spire Hospital
• 54,56 and 57 return to normal frequency - 54 every 20 mins, 56/57 every 20 mins meaning a 10 min frequency from Interchange to Longhill
• B1/B2 evening service withdrawn

There are certainly decent loadings on the 128/X28 to the East of Pickering. Not sure about out West. This is going to cause problems with people working that rely on it I think. Shame. They are much more reliable than the Coastliners at the moment.

This was mentioned on the 'substantive withdrawals' thread slightly earlier and I commented on it there, having ridden the X28 from Helmsley to Scarborough earlier in the year. We had a decent load and the X28 missing out the villages improved the attractiveness of the service to the main towns. By the way although the X28 is being withdrawn the 128 will cover it through to Helmsley, but only 5 journeys instead of 7, first from Helmsley 10.25 instead of 8.00, with a service generally every 2 hours. The only working hours commute possible even now is from no further than Pickering, no change there. Shame to see the decline of what used to be a great service.

I believe it is only the 4 branded for the 121, with 816 being the unbranded spare. So no doubt one will move to Bridlington for their duty.

So slightly surprised that now they will have to wait till the 1110 am from Pickering not arriving in Scarborough till after 12 which is of course half their day out by the seaside gone!

As there is no depot West of Scarborough, is it not that any journey to Helmsley has the same driver there and back? So your idea would make perfect sense.

Yes it is fully PSVAR compliant, there is no requirement to have the wheelchair lift in the doorway like Levantes do. The reason they bought another Tourismo is they were very happy with 95.

In other news, 744 has finished it's repaint with 814 going into paint shop having been in body shop with accident damage.

05 plate Gemini’s are nearly all sold now after being listed for sale, only one remains which is 698 (696 is on loan at GNE for now)

There are no plans to be ordering anything else for at least a year to the best of my knowledge, though they want all Euro 3 buses to be withdrawn over the next couple of years so I expect Hull will start to see new buses again
