They delicence buses over the summer as the PVR is less while the schools are off, there are some spare vehicles but not many. 97 is a brand new stock built vehicle, it did carry the registration SK71 CKV but was never taxed with that plate or used with it. 355-8/60 have gone to Hedingham Buses.
It’s a 71 plate, although no idea if it has previously been on the road.
The older Gemini's get delicensed in July due to the schools and colleges finishing. These are back on the road from September. Also EY is still running a reduced service on pretty much every route and has been for a while due to the national shortage of drivers, so naturally the PVR has dropped for now.
Thanks, this makes a bit more sense now.
In regards to sending buses to Hedingham, I use their Clacton services a couple of times a year and East Yorkshire certainly put them to shame, it's clearly a very budget operation.
