0Z66 has been cancelled

** Suggested on one of the gen sites that 0O01 1005 Doncaster Up Decoy to Eastleigh East Yard may be worth keeping an eye on

WNXX report today that the next arrivals are due soon, 77505 (66310) is expected later this month and 77504 (66311) in mid July, because of building work these two will go by road to Loughborough for prep work before registration and release for movement by rail

66307 & 66308 finally on the move behind 66705 on 1555 4Z67 Eastleigh Works GBRf to Doncaster Roberts Road Shed with one FEA on the rear

Does anyone know if 66309 is still in the yard(s) at Eastleigh, or has it moved into the works yet?

I've just got back from Eastleigh, no sign of 66309. 69008 has just left the works after repainting and 08567 is now in Arlington green.

Has it now been confirmed as becoming 66314 in this country? My understanding was that this wasn't set in stone as they may just switch it around so this one becomes 310

Not yet known according to the report on WNXX, probably not until the loco is registered into the UK system

I've amended the title of the thread as I have only just realised this is a thread I started to asked about the extra 66/7 loco's that came across and it's obviously expanded from those loco's :D

I presume Loughborough is becoming the site where the UK specification work will take place now? Do GB have a facility at Loughborough now or is it sub-contracted work?

Just a slight info update again courtesy of WNXX

77505, which was originally due to be 66310, is still delayed abroad requiring further work before it can be released by Akiem while the next two transfers are currently due to take place in August and September

Are these all being withdrawn ‘naturally’, so to speak, or are UK operators poaching them?!

As far as I'm aware they are all owned by Beacon Rail and their leases are simply being 'redistributed' in the direction of GBRf

66306-316 are owned by Akiem.

Spot on, I thought Akiem were a user rather than provider , just found a report from January on Global Railway Review giving details of the 10 year leasing agreement between Akiem and GBRf for the 11 locos

** Updated Wednesday 6th September **

66306 released from Doncaster on transfer status today hauled to Eastleigh by 66765 on 1005 0O01

Not sure if this of any interest to anyone but have just seen 66306 being hauled through Woking by 66796 (“The Green Progressor”) on 0Z36 Eastleigh Works to Willesden Euroterminal.

Thanks, I wonder where next OR how long 66306 hangs around there - is the terminal on the West side of the WCML just North of Wilesden Junction Station ?.

Yep just North of the station I believe. Having done a brief search of RTT, it might be on the move again tomorrow under 0Z37 to GBRf’s base at Peterborough.

I must add this is no more than an educated guess and I’d happily be proven wrong lol

I've seen it suggested that it has covered nameplates so I guess it's off to the GB base for the big unveil

Thanks @158798 and @The_Train. That all seems to make sense. Not in range of Croydon !.

EDIT. Looks like my window of opportunity is before it leaves. Que mad dash to Willesden Junction and Binoculars or a fly past on a Southern EMU.
