Back to the topic at hand - 197002 was used to cover for the unavailable MKIVs on the Cardiff - Manchester leg. It was hoped to swap the set out at Crewe but that proved impossible in the end.

67013 + HD06 has took over 1V50 16:30 Man Picc - Swansea at Crewe so at least they’ve managed to get it out so it can end in the correct place tonight at Canton!

The other Crewe starter today (HD07/025) failed at Yorton earlier on 1V42 again with power issues in the Loco, and is back on ATC.

A poor day all round with 67025 back at Crewe, 67022 also having attention from DB for earlier faults and 67013 having HEP issues on its way out the depot.

I see this evening the 1855 CDF-MAN is 197118 - whats the reason a MK4 isnt running this one?

If it wasn't substituted, there would end up 5 sets at Crewe (until HD06 got out earlier anyway) and Crewe can only take 4 Mk4 sets.

Seems the 67s have run out of luck now! Faults really starting to show all of a sudden after a while of working well..

Hopefully just a string of unrelated issues. 2 are already rectified and ready to go or are already out and the other made it back to the depot.

HD03 not coming back out has unbalanced things for tomorrow so 1V31 will be a 197 but unsure now if one of the sets of Canton will come out for the 08:49 or not.

Another day of misery for 67013+HD06 failing just short of Crewe on 1V37 08:30 ex Man Picc.

Now back on ATC having been replaced with 197107 on 1T37. (Which itself only made it to Shrewsbury before being cancelled on unrelated points issues!)

Two sets remaining: (Now an extra one added thanks to @sd0733 message below)

67008 HD01 on 05:30 Holyhead - Cardiff, 10:52 Cardiff - Manchester, 14:30 Manchester - Cardiff & 18:55 Cardiff - Manchester

67022 HD05 on 06:27 Manchester - Cardiff, 12:49 Cardiff - Manchester, 16:30 Manchester - Swansea

67015 HD03 (previously spare) on 17:14 Cardiff - Holyhead

A bit of a messy day with 67013+HD06 seemingly having a reoccurrence of yesterday's issues so was despatched back to Crewe depot in disgrace. Spare set HD03 will pick up its diagram for the evening Holyhead to enable everything in the right place for the 4 diagrams tomorrow.

After working tomorrow's evening Holyhead, HD05 will enter storage at Holyhead, 67022 will then head back to Crewe on Saturday and replace 67025 which Is currently on HD07. Unless plans change that would be the final run of a 4+2 Mk4 set in service.

It appears there’s engineering work between Holyhead and Bangor on Saturday, but I suppose the loco could go overnight before the line shuts.

If nothing changes with diagrams as of current (supposing no issues appear), which set (if any) is meant to be on 1W56 on Sunday? Thanks.

Could be going early hours but wouldn't be suprised to see it end up going up on Monday after the block is lifted. If that's the case though a diagram could well be lost on Monday.

Pencilled in for 67015+HD03.

If (and it seems a big if this week) it all goes to plan:

Fri:
HD01+HD06 Crewe starts
HD03 Holyhead start
HD05 Canton start

Sat:
HD01 Canton start
HD03 + HD06 Crewe starts

Only seems to be 3 Sat diagrams at the moment, 1W11/1V37/1W61/1V62 temporarily booked 197.

Sun:
HD01 Crewe start
HD03 Canton start

Now heading back tonight before the block so that it can go onto HD07 for Monday.

Any idea when 67017 and 67020 will be back in operation, and the newly modded locos?
Last I heard was late April for those 2 but unsure of the current estimates as that was quite a while ago.

Couldn't say where the extra ones are either I'm afraid. All gone extremely quiet on that front.

@sd0733 I've got a first advance for the 0435 CDF MAN in full on Tuesday. Please, might you have any information about that at this stage? :)

How is set availability holding up as of current? I know HD02 is at Canton (unsure if it has finished tyre turning), HD06 didn't operate today again, unsure what sort of issues are occurring?

Looks like 02 hasn't yet been released. 06 had a data recorder fault so wasn't allowed off the depot, it was scheduled to finish last night for an exam anyway so hopefully it comes back a bit better!

Only 3 diagrams Monday with HD05 being stored at Holyhead only HD01/03 and 07 are available then upto 4 from Tuesday with HD06 back from its exam.

The 10xx Swansea-Machester is a MK4 today, unsure which one but it was late when I saw it passing.
