Got an Aberdeen coloured E400 (33917) out already, they've not painted it yet so I would be calling it a very interesting sight if it weren't for all the loans lol, 2025 has been crazy for First Glasgow. It's tracking on the 60, probably will be Scotstoun's by the end of the week though
4 of them were out today, will all be back at scotstoun soon

Apparently the winners of the Mother’s Day contest are getting revealed soon. I wonder how many got chosen and put on buses?

Aberdeen buses already have them on nearside adverts.

Turns out it’s number 2 they were doing.

One, at least, is going back to Essex at the end of the week, so the repaint must have been part of the arrangement.

So I was right with both predictions.

Also there’s 5 Mother’s Day messages on 5 double deckers. I’ve seen 34394 and 38600 with them, but what are the other 3 buses?

I didn't see it awfully clearly, but it had the new logo and a picture of a woman to the right of the poster, I was too far away to read the text. And yes, it would have been 33431 as it was doing an 87 that day and I was on the X85 reversing out next to it

Just seen 34395 with it too, in the exact same situation lol, it's on the 87 and I was sat in an X85. The picture of the mum is actually on the left hand side of the poster

50-years ago buses, always had luggage racks/pens for shopping, pushchairs and suitcases.

Just something for the first time a 61 with the screen showing bus on diversion. I have never seen that before on a first Glasgow bus.

I wish every route would do it. It is much more friendly, as the sign would result in me asking the driver where the diversion is, allowing me to get off the bus before potentially being taken away from where I was headed.

The 87/88/89 had to display it when the link to Springburn Road from Baird Street was shut a couple months ago

By the looks of things, the majority of transferred E400s have been sent over to Scotstoun this week.

Only 5 remain to be sent down from Aberdeen, not sure if they'll do them all in one trip but however many it is they'll be coming down on Saturday I think.

Details are still a bit sketchy but there are to be service changes from 20th April, using the dreaded AI driven timetables:

The updates will involve the following services:

4/4A, 5, 7/7A, 9/9A, 19, 34, 38/A/B/C/E, 41, 43, 46, 60/60A, 61, 75, 87, 88/88A/88C, 89/89A/89B, X3, X8, X85, X87, M3.

Service 61 and 75
will increase in frequency.

Service 43 will operate between Parkhead Forge and Glasgow Fort, Monday – Sunday.

Service M3 will operate a revised city centre route and will no longer serve Hope Street at Savoy Centre. The service will now turn left onto Hope Street after leaving Renfrew Street before continuing to follow the normal route to Milton. All passengers who previously used this stop should board at Renfrew Street.

These AI timetables are horrendous, no clockface timing each hour and frequencies all over the place. Looking at the recently revised 1 group of services, when the 1C was first introduced it was every 20 mins with roughly 10-13 mins layovers using 5 buses, it is now anything between 18-25 min frequency with 5-6min layovers now using 4 buses. Basically little to no recovery time built in.
