It had been on loan to Aberdeen but returned to Glasgow along with the other Enviro400MMCs overnight last night. The three loan Enviro300s were still in service with Aberdeen today.
Thanks

It was flagging up on bustimes on the 9/9A last night but wasn’t sure how accurate that was.

Just seen that first glasgow put in an application to install electric charges at the blantyre depot.

P/23/0393 | Installation of electric vehicle charging stations with associated work including distribution unit, transformers, feeder panels, high level cable trays and the erection of 2.4 metre high fencing | First Blantyre Depot 5 Glasgow Road Blantyre G72 0LA

I wonder if the E200EVs and new generation E400EVs would be able to support operations from Lanarkshire.
I would expect both, as Lanarkshire has been using a lot of their double-deckers on routes such as the 255, 263, and 267 a lot more recently.

Is 33409 on loan to Caledonia does anyone know?
It was at there for a short time after coming back from Aberdeen loan, but it’a back at Scoutstoun now.

I only see deckers on the 267 service with some singles. Not seen a decker on the 255 for some time.

Yet many of the older Volvos still cope even better on the roads than the Dennis junkers they bought.
Better quality product than Dennis though, Heavyweight chassis can take a bit more battering, the suspension on the E400MMCs is woeful and the E200MMCs wheels are too small, feel every bump in the road.

A few minutes ago today, 38432 broke down around the entry to Queen Street.

I was on the 57 (the bus being 37202) that had to go around the taxi bit on Nelson Mandela place, just as the M8 Recovery Truck came to take 38432 to the depot.

Barely any double decks on these routes now, back to mostly singles
The 267 still has deckers, so you never know if you are going to get a Gemini, E400MMC, Streetlite, E300, or E200MMC when you are on that route.

Not seen a Gemini on the 267 for a long time. Rarely take the 267 now as the train is cheaper and faster.

Very rarely like I said previously, It's majority single deck operated with the odd one of the above on it, A Sunday It's more likely to have more deckers on it.

I would say its half and half operated by decker to single deck on a Saturday.

Bus stuck in the grass!

I'm not familiar with the route for the 7A; any ideas as to how this might have happened?

Source: company post on X (formerly Twitter) - LINK

⚠️SERVICE UPDATE - 7A⚠️

Services diverting via Westburn Road, Grayline Avenue, Wheatsheaf Drive & Harvester Avenue in both directions

Is there any truth in an article in The Herald newspaper online that the Scottish Government has completely stopped making money available for the purchase of electric buses? If so it appears to me that this could have implications for FirstGroup and of course other companies in Scotland who might want to purchase these types of vehicles. If true this supposed decision could have implications for ADL among other manufacturers.

No it was the SPT bid for electric buses under this scheme that was unsuccessful, not the whole thing being cancelled, but the article is confusing.

Is there any truth to the rumours that First are reverting back to a corporate livery? Glasgow are still in the midst of trying to get all their buses into the updated urban livery.

New electric buses in corporate silver/purple except where local contracts require otherwise (eg Leicester/Solent)
