32073,32084 & 32098 are in Camborne and 32277 is in Bodmin

Thank you.

Reference the forthcoming summer timetables, it is disappointing to see no late evening Saturday T2 service from St Ives. The last bus leaves at 1927 which is too early to have a decent evening in St Ives or any of the pubs around Lelant. Shame there isn't a 2127 to Camborne connecting with the 2230 T1 to Truro.

I raised this at a meet the manager event several years ago and was told it would be looked into but nothing happened. For a while there was a 2330 service 14 from St Ives to Camborne that was at least something better than the current situation.

Some of the new timetables have appeared on the First website, under the "forthcoming" tab:

All the FK timetables effective from Sunday are now on the website.

However, the FirstBus journey planner on the website (which I think runs off Traveline) completely ignores FK services from Sunday and directs you to TfC services instead - sometimes via very long and convoluted routings!

Is there any A17/T1 late connection at St Erth or similar option?

It's one of the things I've mentioned in relation to the Cornwall Council tenders. Quite happy to spend money on all sorts of oddball routes but not an evening service on this route.

In defence of FK, I guess that a two hour tag on to a shift might not be that easy.

Just looked at @richw question and you'd leave St Ives at 2157 and have a 43 min wait for the TfC T1 to 'druth. Or you could get the 2020 train to St Erth (arr 2032) and then get the 2058 T1 to get a full pint in

BTW, it says the last one from St Ives is at 1947 so time only for a quick comfortable half

Another alternative Catch the 2157 17 to st erth interchange, arrive St Erth 2215.
Train to Plymouth departs st erth 2221

Agreed. The evening T1 service is also surprisingly poor. I don't think it's unreasonable to expect a supported hourly service through to Penzance.

Also poor are first buses on Sundays. The earliest you can get to Penzance from Truro is 1042 by bus or 1048 by train!

Timings aren’t very good for connections, lots of waiting around.

That is a weekday train time not a Saturday night that I was referring to.

I don't know about an hourly service but thought they might have a two-hourly from Penzance, and from St Ives, combining at St Erth to have an hourly service east to Hayle and beyond. Especially with 17s running out of Penzance.

With today’s announcement confirming step 3 of lockdown restrictions easing on the 17th May hopefully the ‘Adventures by Bus’ website will launch in the next few days.

Photos have been shared in a bus enthusiast Facebook group showing 4 red front B7TL ALX 400s leaving Bristol presumably for Cornwall. 32073 KP51 VZZ and 32094 KP51 WCR were the only 2 identifiable in the images shared.

Slightly off topic for this thread but just to clarify 32094 (and 32093) is on loan to Hants & Dorset.

I am aware that the following buses are in the Lands End Coaster variant of the AC livery: 32103, 37058 and 37729. Does anyone know which other tridents are in the LEC variant of the livery?

No tridents. They’re all Volvos in lands end coaster livery

The open top tridents which were in Atlantic Coaster branding last year have been re-vinyled for the Lands End Coaster as well, I’m not sure exactly which have been done

Think the point that @richw is making is that they're not Tridents; the Lands End Coasters are mainly Volvo B7TLs and Plaxton President bodied.

The open top Tridents are going to Lizard, Falmouth and Exeter, aren't they?

No Tridents. The original B7TL Presidents and the Geminis.

I see the Eden Project is now mentioning the Daytrippers:

Bus service that stops at Eden

The Day Tripper service

From 17 May, First Group will be offering a bus service connecting Eden with the following locations: Newquay, Perranporth, Truro, Mevagissey, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Fowey, Looe, Polperro and Charlestown. The timetable will be available to view shortly.

E400MMC 33458 brought into Camborne connected to a Cornwall Commercials recovery truck today, 32098 departed for a Truro College service this afternoon.

Cornwall commercials were hooking it up in a lay-by near Treliske when I passed it

I've just read in Route One magazine that social distancing restrictions on buses are being eased from Monday, with all forward-facing seats being allowed to be occupied. Rearward and sideways seats and standing will still not be allowed. So while not complete removal of social distancing, it's a huge uplift in available capacity.

Clearly a significant change which I guess could mean most of the MMCs to return quicker than previously planned and most of the loan fleet to be disposed of.

One of the Mousehole liveried buses (---04) was making VERY heavy weather up M J Street this p.m. - a Go Cornwall bus on the 16 going the other way had flashed him through and had to wait ages. The driver of the 16 might have thought it deliberate, but as soon as he heard it he'd have been disabused of that notion. The M6 driver saw me sitting on a bench looking and gave me a cheery wave along with raised eyebrows. A little later another of the pink buses appeared, and at about 5.35 p.m. a Solo in a livery unknown to me came out of the bus station empty with a Park and Ride destination.
