First time ever.... surely.
Must have turned a few years in Dinder.
I'm sure they would. It's a decent enough machine and would fit in well. Wells has often provided a home for some of the more 'out of place' buses.

Wasn't it reported a few months ago that one worked the 175?
A Mendip b7 looks to be up at LH the dockers I believe can only ever cover the 175 other than the 376
The Bath services are constrained by the 173 running via Fry's Well and the low bridge there just down from the Redan Inn (good pub!)
Not certain about 126 - the odd overhanging gable or low branches?
ps Welcome back - you've not posted recently
So all the 59 plates have been finished. That's good to hear. Still don't see the logic in painting 66720 whilst 66723&4 remain in Barbie but there must be some greater plan in place.69437 and 69438 are now back in Wells
66720 and 66721 have left for repaint
66721 now in Mendip Explorer according to Steve White. And set me thinking about that particular batch and what a variety of liveries we have:
66719: barbie
66720: urban
66721: Mendip Explorer
66722: Bath blue
66723: barbie
66724: barbie
66725: barbie
66726: Badgerline
66727: Bath blue
66728: barbie
66729: barbie
66730: barbie
66731: barbie
66734: urban
You're right. They were painted in to barbie late 2008 from their original rail link. I've said it already but I don't know why they didn't send one of the three you mention to Bath, which would have enjoyed a repaint for the 5, rather than do 66727 which was in pretty decent condition. There must have been some specific mechanical reason why they particularly wanted that one on the 5!Some of those (e.g. 66729 and 66731) look very tatty these days; well, since 2013 when the vinyls for the X39 were removed to be honest
66721 back in Wells on 175
With new seat cushions and paint job, imagine that looks quite smart.
Saw 66727 in Bath yesterday (as I had a cheeky Nerro opposite) and it looked smart but then you see the very tired seat cushions. A bit "fur coat"....
66724 is in Bristol but don't know about 66723 yet. Question is does it need replacing at Wells? 66724 was only ever a paint float so not an officiall allocation. But with a pvr of 22 (?) the remaining 25 might be enough.66720 is back in Wells. Seen on 175 today. With 66721, these now complete the fleet at Mendip Xplorer, that is until something changes.
66723 and 66724 have left Wells, presumably for Bristol.

35165 doing the honours this morning on the 175. By mid afternoon when I returned to Wells 69439 was on route instead.
66720 on 126 today looking good in its new livery and smart and tidy inside after the refurb.

Hi Tom,We probably just crossed paths again, as I saw the 9.40 175 go out with 35165. I caught 9.52376 to Street, then transferred onto 10.34 29 to Taunton.
Hi Tom,
I would have been arriving into Wells around 0950 on 44077 from Yeovil. Later is was off to Shepton on 1007 174 before heading over to Weston area on 1130 126 for a few hours there. Cheers, Mike R
69438 out on 376 today
42905 is on holiday in Wells, working 175 over the last few days/week. I think it is on loan covering for vehicles out.
42905 stretched its legs yesterday on 126.
