Bearing in mind the entire Potteries StreetDeck fleet are low-height examples, I think this is an over-enthusiastic move to Potteries on Bustimes.Walking past First Potteries Adderley Green depot earlier today I noticed an unidentified Wright Streetdeck with First Bristol on the destination display being hooked up to a tow truck, I'm guessing to be towed back home.
There was no fleet number or registration plates displayed so I couldn't identify which vehicle it was. Trying to work out from what vehicles haven't tracked in the last 2 weeks would give 35166 or 35177 as candidates. However, Badgerline liveried 35688 has recently been added to the Potteries fleetlist on bustimes.org https://bustimes.org/vehicles/fbri-35688
I find that a bit surprising as I didn't think we required further deckers at Potteries. So maybe the repainted vehicle is this one? Does anyone know any more?
Links to a few snaps I got today are below. Apologies for the quality, positioning of it wasn't great.

As for the refurbished ex-Bristol StreetDeck, I wonder if that's one of the NewPower electric repowers? They are all having a mid-life refurb and repaint before delivery, and Aberdeen and Norwich are now expecting the next examples (71010 and upwards - Aberdeen are due 12, Norwich 5 (plus 70201)).Bearing in mind the entire Potteries StreetDeck fleet are low-height examples, I think this is an over-enthusiastic move to Potteries on Bustimes.
More likely is that 35688 is the first released from Weston for repaint and cascade - First South Yorkshire and Norwich have both been suggested as destinations - as the first of the new Yutong 'deckers are anticipated to enter service next week.

They have also been quoted for Weymouth (presumably to upgrade the X51/X53 services along the coast).Apparently 33101-33107 are moving to Bristol according to the First Glasgow thread.
30025 was on a board that is scheduled to go on the 10:30 X1 to Bristol anyway. I wonder how they are coping with the chargers on the back wall of Bristol Bus Station or aren't they done yet? On Friday I went into the bus station and the chargers were fenced off. It looked like they were still working on those.I had a look to see if any of Weston depot's new Yutongs were tracking this morning. When I looked at 0800 there were 4 out (1x 611 to Bridgwater College, 3x X1 between Weston and Bristol). The one on the 611 was 30025 and that went back to Weston (depot, I think) but has come out again and gone on an X1. A look on the bustimes map @ 1105 reveals the following to be out for anyone interested:
30024 (YK25 OJP) to Bristol
30025 (YK25 OJR) to Bristol
30027 (YK25 OJT) to Weston
30032 (YK25 OJY) to Weston

Interesting that they are reusing previously used fleet numbers rather than starting a new range maybe in the 70000 range if the 3’s are fullI had a look to see if any of Weston depot's new Yutongs were tracking this morning. Hmmm.... rumour is Yorkshire bound, possibly via Adderley Green paintshop. Two Badgerline StreetDecks have been parked at Worcester depot -- 35686 + 35692 -- I have no doubt that they are not staying - we are all Alexander-Dennis now !
Apparently 5 to Norwich and 11 to South Yorkshire. The rest staying in Weston.Hmmm.... rumour is Yorkshire bound, possibly via Adderley Green paintshop.
Guessing they're going on the A1?Ex Glasgow Airport Express E400s 33108-33110 have arrived at hengrove today
Correct: the frequency of the A1 is being increased when the next changes take effect on 06th April.Guessing they're going on the A1?
The changes aren't on 20th April. The changes are 6th April.Correct: the frequency of the A1 is being increased when the next changes take effect on 20th April.

Thanks: post edited. I was getting myself confused with the dates for the Somerset changes. The changes aren't on 20th April. The changes are 6th April.
I was on an A1 a couple of days ago, and the onboard screen was highlighting the increased frequency from 6 April, and noting that it would mean for a while that some 'different' buses would be used on the route as well as the familiar ones ....Yes I seem to recall hearing that the trial of an electric on the A1 did not, shall we say, go very well. That gives three possibilities in my mind: first is that the Yutong order for the airport will include some U11DDs to help on the A1 making it, for want of a better description, a hybrid route. Secondly there is the possibility that some of the StreetDecks getting deposed from Weston Depot by the new U11DDs might transfer into the Airport fleet to help on the A1 but that is, perhaps, unlikely.
The last possibility I can think of would be that some of Weston's StreetDecks transfer from WSM to HG (Hengrove) with some of the A1 diagrams being operated from there. I think the PVR on the new timetable for a Monday to Saturday daytime schedule will be 13 vehicles. Although it is possible that the frequency increase might be seasonal there is a news release on the Airport's website dated 13-Jan-2025 which, in terms of passenger figures, says of the A1:
Source for the above: https://www.bristolairport.co.uk/co...urneys-for-airport-flyer-bus-service-in-2024/
Nothing about any electric buses, as far as I can see anyway, on the Airport's website but today wasn't the first time I had heard of electrics being on order for the A3. I was allowed to poke my head through the door of 30025 and get some photos: I thought it looked quite nice but the proof of the quality is in the ride and I hope to try one sooner or later when they enter service.

Yeah some ex Glasgow E400 Cities have arrived at Hengrove Depot for temporary use on the A1.I was on an A1 a couple of days ago, and the onboard screen was highlighting the increased frequency from 6 April, and noting that it would mean for a while that some 'different' buses would be used on the route as well as the familiar ones ....
33108/09/10.Yeah some ex Glasgow E400 Cities have arrived at Hengrove Depot for temporary use on the A1.
Yeah I don't know where 33101-33107 are heading.33108/09/10.
Presumably still in Glasgow Airport Express colours with some of the branding removed?33108/09/10.
The one I saw on Friday on tow was in full Glasgow Airport liveryPresumably still in Glasgow Airport Express colours with some of the branding removed?
I believe they will be covering up the Glasgow Airport logos and Glasgow Branding. I know 37540 still has Scottish branding left inside. The one I saw on Friday on tow was in full Glasgow Airport livery
33110 was on suspended tow towards Bristol at Hicks Gate just after 6.30pm.Yeah I don't know where 33101-33107 are heading.
So the A1 will be having this batch of Yutongs or is there another order?33110 was on suspended tow towards Bristol at Hicks Gate just after 6.30pm.
8 to 10 of the batch are rumoured to be coming to Bristol temporarily until ‘new electrics’ arrive for the A1 (not the Yutongs previously announced for Hengrove).
35569 is one of the eight that moved last year from Leeds - it is in Leeds City green, rather than Badgerline.Just seen Badgerline liveried Streetdeck 35569 on 76 Driver Training in South Bristol. Is this a recent transfer from Weston to Hengrove?
It appears that 33108-10 (i.e 8-10) of the batch have gone to Bristol for the A1 uplift. We still don't know where 33101-07 are going when they are released (it has been suggested more than once that Weymouth will get the lot in due course, but still unconfirmed).33110 was on suspended tow towards Bristol at Hicks Gate just after 6.30pm.
