Now that the T1/T2 routes have been launched does anyone know what the diagram is for the vehicles that work the 47 on a sunday? Previously a vehicle worked into Bristol as a 47 from Chipping Sodbury then became a 78 out to Thornbury and in reverse a vehicle came into Bristol as a 78 from Thornbury and then became a 47 out to Chipping Sodbury.

Do the vehicles deployed on the 47 on Sundays now lay over in the bus station in between workings or are the 47 and T2 still interworked in any way?

On a Sunday the T1 is hourly, departing the Centre at xx:12.
I'm surprised if the T1 doesn't set down in Bond Street as every other bus entering Bristol that way does.

Oh no wonder I didn't see a T1 then! Though it was my original intention to see the T1 leaving the Centre at 1112. But I ended up leaving a bit late, so just missed it. So I thought I'll see the 1142 departure instead. And forgot that it was every hour on Sundays.

Looking forward to my journey on a T1 on Tuesday evening though to Patchway Aztec West Roundabout!! And then a T1 back again! But looks like it will be Gemini's I'll be onboard, as disappointingly but not unexpectedly, the dual door Enviro 400 MMC's are not being used on this service yet.

Both T1s were dual door Scanias this morning, fleet numbers in my earlier post. The T2 was a gemini and a saloon.

There's a report on the Bath Chronicle website that on Saturday night May 26 at 22.10 a tree fell onto a First bus travelling on London Road West. The report states the bus was loaded with fans returning from a Bath Festival event. Thankfully there appear to have been no injuries to driver or passengers but a witness stated the bus was badly damaged. The photos only show the fallen tree and I found it impossible to make out the bus let alone identify it.

Give it time, a truer picture will gradually emerge. Sundays are never a good reflection of the norm anyway, least of all the first Sunday of a brand new timetable.

Oh dear that doesn't sound good at all. At least it sounds as though everyone is ok.

Got on a T2 this morning on a short journey between Horfield and Zetland Road Junction. Wasn't the plan to specifically get on a T2, but that's what came along first. It was an Eclipse single decker. Not my favourite buses, but still. And on this short journey I noticed a dual doored Enviro 400 MMC heading up north on a T2.

Incidentally I notice the T1 & T2 timetables aren't on First Bristol's website yet. And the 78 & 79 timetables are still there! Which may cause confusion for some passengers!

Just look in the 'Route Maps' section there is PDFs of all of the timetable leaflets. No doubt over the next few days the timetables on the search function will be changed.

The three buses on the T2 this morning were one Eclipse and two E400MMC (36817 and 36820). Although T2 timetables were up at stops in Bishopston, at Cribbs Causeway publicity still refers to the 78. Note that the T2 takes a different route at Cribbs Causeway to the former 78, as the T2 serves the Retail Park.
And my T1 this morning stopped in Bond Street in case anyone wanted to alight. It also changed drivers at the BRI stop.

So did mine this morning. I had a chat with the driver, as (see my earlier post) the one on Sunday wouldn't. Today's driver said that they are unsure whether they should or not so until there is clarification from control some drivers are stopping there, but some aren't.
Surely after now more than 2 days of the service running, someone should make a decision?

Looks as if 32006/14/15 have gone to Weston. The U2 in Bath was being worked by 32007, 33947 & 66938 today.

32014 has just parked up yesterday with First Bath displayed on the screen when I went past. I didn’t realise how many Darts Weston have either!

Are any of those awaiting collection???

Don’t know if we have confirmation as to how many are heading elsewhere? Have seen speculation that Cymru are due 12 in total but the usual health warning attached to that.

Seems a bit odd to go into a Baff and not see Pointer Darts for the first time in 25 years!

The B7 deckers in Weston will be for the enhanced 20 and 1 summer timetable which started Sunday, with 5 buses on the 20 and 2 on the 1. All though 32011 should be back soon after having the chop.

Weston has a requirement for 8 Darts plus operational spares, 6 for the 3 and 2 for the 5 since the E200s have moved on. Streetlites are used to infill on these as required, yesterday and Sunday the 3 was operated by Streetlites.

Not sure whether this was a transfer or day loan, but MH B7TL 32344 was on the U1 in Bath as a peak extra this evening!!
Also some strange goings on on the 1 today. Glad I don't live in Southdown! Working on it today were 44520 44909 44915 and 63072. Of the usual suspects that normally work the 1, 47546/8/9 were on the 4 and 47547 was on 3. 63068 and 66934 on the D services-but then of course Wesrbury is one short with 69509 damaged.

Not yet, It will be once the M1 starts.

Ah right I see. I thought the X73 was being axed as the new T1 runs though parts of Bradley Stoke. I got it mixed up with the X48 that WAS axed.

Had a journey tonight on the new T1 as far as Almondsbury and then back again to Broadmead. I shall post more detailed comments about it along with more comments about the new M3 Metrobus service soon. But I think the new T1 is a fantastic new service! Love the route it takes between Centre and Aztec West. Much better than the old 79 trundling up and down Gloucester Road with all the traffic and stopping at umpteen bus stops! This is a MUCH better service! I'm a T1 fan!

63078 was also on its very old haunts of the X39
