Indeed, tried looking out for it when I was in Bath this afternoon, but saw all the other Bath City blue B7RLEs but that one!

According to the tracker, it hasn't come back out as of yet. Equally 69443 hasn't been out for a couple of days, so maybe that's the next one to go?

With the full deckerisation of Wells services, it might be likely that the surplus 2 of the 8 in that batch get put in Discover livery to replace 69501/5/11, given that they may not run again any time soon!

On a similar note, and for anyone wanting to catch an unusual stray, the 1058 18 from Bath (and 1225 return from Frenchay) are normally worked using a B7RLE off the D1, presumably to allow extra running in time for inbound delays!

Ah yes, I've just seen 66726 appear on the tracker again!

10168 was out yesterday as well. For some reason the bendis don't track at present!

Agree, i did wonder about that as I saw both 69444 and 69446 on the D1 today. However, as I and a few others discussed the other day, I believe singles will eventually return to the 126

32003 and 32284 doing the Twerton shorts on 20a/c this morning but no sign of the third one that should be running.

I see from Steve’s website 32290 is marked down for scrap.
It must have sustained a fair amount of damage from the trees on the WM 20.
Will 32006 be repaired I wonder?

32290 towed off for the last time today, damage didn’t look too bad but then again the book value on it can’t be too high now.

32290, it sustained pillar damage similar to 30871 and had the pillar and upper near side window missing. Pretty much the pillar as taken from 30873 here https://www.flickr.com/photos/dshtr...j2YJoy-2jBaYLq-rWK41Z-2iWCCLL-2iWCwXw-2jbNsvS

I’ve not seen the damage on 32006 but I’d like to think it’ll be back on service as it’s not been reported withdrawn.
Thanks for that. I can't understand why 30873 couldn't have been restored - that'll just T-Cut out  Seems odd to see a relatively modern 32290 disappear - a mere 17 years old.

Ironically 30871 has since had its roof repaired for its future use as a library bus.
30873 never entered service with FWE after its transfer from Kernow in August 2018, allegedly because of chassis corrosion.

873 repaired 871. If only there was a dead ALX400 to repair 290.

W119 CWR 10036, is back in service. The oldest bus in First's service fleet now if I'm correct?

Interesting to see 66938 and 66942 are shown on Gov.uk as taxed. 938 was parked up in Weston Island depot in February looking as if it had been towed in and not in use since, 942 was also at Weston Island in February with all its offside body panels removed and does not seem to have operated since then. Of course these two are still in Barbie. Perhaps they have been put back together for further use?

DVLA says 10036 first registered April 2000.

69457 looks amazing. Still cant wait to see if they'll paint a decker in the livery for the 3/3a/4. Very good video on 10036 too.
Apparently the 62 plate "EnviroMMCs" (ex-Hybrids) are being repainted into Bath City. Both the B7RLEs and E400s will recieve plain Bath City, so they can be used universally. Also the B9TL Gemini 2s may be receiving it soon.

How many vehicles (approximately and including the coaches) do you reckon were running on the U1/3?

Roughly 15 on the U1, including Barnes coaches, and 8 or so on the U3, is what I counted.

E400MMC Aque branded 36804 was seen on the D1X today, first time I've seen something different on the D1X recently.

So it was! Three interesting allocations in one photo here too! 32994 on the U1, 32008 on the U1 and 36803 on the D1X.

Thanks for that quick reply! Someone at the uni told me that over 50 vehicles would see use! I guess that's more likely to be the case in the peaks though.

I had heard that the 62 plate E400s were getting painted into U1 purple rather than BathCity blue, with the long term aim of replacing the bendis/W-PAEs!

Yesterday, there was 10 coaches on the U1. 5 Bennets and 5 Barnes (they did have one board as a decker) and I think there were around 6 buses on it. The U1 was mainly deckers apart from 69457 and a bendi which apeard in the afternoon.

The U3 had around 8 on it with a mixture or bendis and deckers. This was more than enough capacity and the bendis were very smokey.

32290 apparently sustained its damage on the X5? But it has indeed gone for scrap.
No it was definitely damaged on the 20, there was a series of tree hits, previously only smashed windows. The damage to this caused the deckers to be taken off the 20 in the middle of that day. Darts and Streetlites were nicked of the 3 and 7, with the deckers chucked on in there place.

The ALX400s didn’t venture outside of Weston very often, other than too Burnham. A few appeared in Bristol, though I don’t think they were too keen on sending them on the motorway on the X5.

Seems odd that such damage has been sustained on a route that has had deckers consistently but guess trees keep on growing!

Be good to see more of the fleet in Bath Blue. As the P&R contract was supposed to run til about now, wonder if BaNES have activated some sort of extension??

The problem trees were first reported in March, but are still to be cut back.

The problem isn’t noticed until then as the last few years, singles have been used on the 20 over the winter and this year deckers were not used until quite late due to lockdown.

Ah right - I thought that 32006 and 33156 were supposed to be the 20 winter vehicles. Of course, 33156 at least didn't see action for a while.
