Ignore what he said previously because it doesn't agree with your point of view. Brilliant!!

I have not ignored it. I responded to it, in which I indicated that the outcome which Charles Green feared may have happened. But it didn't, and that's the important thing.

Whereas you have ignored this statement from Malcolm Murray and Charles Green, and you have also ignored this interview with Neil Doncaster, in which even he has to admit "it's an existing club, even though it's a new company".

What about the round that The Rangers entered the Scottish Cup in? If they were the same team then you should have entered at the same round as all the SPL sides, you didn't.

Because, oddly enough, we are in Division 3 and not the SPL. Simple as that.

As I said before, the oldco-newco process which happened at Rangers is exactly the same as what happened in 2007 to Leeds United. The only difference then was Leeds were allowed to remain in League One.

Would the reason be that the English FA and the Scottish FA may have different rules affecting such occurrances ? That is just an idea of mine, but there may well be other forum members who can give you a definite ruling on the matter you have raised.

Erm .... Both the following quotes taken from the font of all knowledge, Wikipedia.

In 2012, The Rangers Football Club plc became insolvent and entered administration, resulting in liquidation when an agreement could not be reached with its creditors. Its assets were bought by a new company, to which Rangers' Scottish Football Association membership was transferred, enabling Rangers to begin season 2012–13 in the Scottish Football League's Third Division.

The 2006–07 season started badly with Leeds conceding late goals in several matches, and in September 2006, Blackwell's contract as manager of Leeds United was terminated. Leeds hired John Carver as caretaker manager but his spell was not a success and he was relieved of his duties with Dennis Wise being eventually installed as his replacement after a month without a permanent manager. Defender Matt Kilgallon left in January to join Sheffield United, and Wise was unable to lift the team out of the relegation zone for much of the season, despite bringing a number of experienced loan players and free transfers on short term deals into the squad. With relegation virtually assured, Leeds entered a Company Voluntary Arrangement (administration) on 4 May 2007, thus incurring a league imposed 10-point deduction which officially relegated the club to the third tier of English football.

The CVA was due to end on 3 July 2007, which would have allowed Bates to regain full control of the club, however HM Revenue & Customs challenged the CVA. Under league rules, if the club were still in administration at the start of the next season, Leeds would have been prevented from starting their campaign by the Football League. Following the challenge by HMRC, the club was put up for sale by KPMG, and once again Ken Bates' bid was accepted

As far as I can see, Leeds United were not liquidated, but were instead sold to a new owner, far different from the situation with Rangers, where the club was liquidated and wound up ....

You will note in England that sides outside the Premiership and the Championship have to enter the FA cup competition in the First Round proper and the lower division league teams in Scotland may well experience a similar ruling.

Given the death threats from the The Rangers support that Charles Green was the victim of, he stated he was moved round safe houses, is it really that difficult to understand why he changed his tune and why the others didn't want to incur the wrath of the The Rangers lunatic fring?

The club was liquidated, someone bought some of the assets. That doesn't make it the same club.

Because, oddly enough, we are in Division 3 and not the SPL. Simple as that.

Really? Why not read how the seedings for the Scottish Cup work?

As I said before, the oldco-newco process which happened at Rangers is exactly the same as what happened in 2007 to Leeds United. The only difference then was Leeds were allowed to remain in League One.

Except of course, that it isn't the same as Leeds had a CVA agreed because HMRC had less than 25% of the total debt.

Paul Sidorczuk said:
Scotland may well experience a similar ruling.

In Scotland the round you enter the Scottish Cup in is based on the position you finished in your respective league the previous season. The team that Green bought the assets of finished 2nd in the SPL so, if they were the same side, they should have entered the Scottish Cup at the same point as other teams in the SPL and the top 4 sides in SFL1.

Bayern Munich say they will appoint Pep Guardiola as their new (manager/coach ?) at the end of this season.

Another blow to those "journalists" in the British sporting press who believe the Premier League in England is "the finest in the world".....<(

Runcorn became Runcorn FC Halton (I remember seeing them at Accy Stanley back in't day when they played the likes of Bishop Auckland and Bradford PA in the Northern Premier League). They folded in 2006.

Just heard on 5Live that Manchester United were accepting pre-orders for the fourth round game against Fulham before this replay kicked off. 5Live portrayed it as confidence but I see it as arrogant

(or am I forbidden from this because it regards the BBC's favourite team?)

Maybe a lot of their fans have more money than sense. What happens if they lose the replay ?

Presumably there'd be a refund. Or perhaps I've been too quick to judge and it may simply be the chance to pre-order with payment due if they do win. It wouldn't be the first time 5live have misinterpreted something

Meanwhile at the Emirates, Arsenal have done pretty much everything but score and Vorm's goal is under siege. Therefore Swansea will win in extra time <D

Also a good result for Leeds yesterday ;)

edit: Stupid Arsenal scoring after I think of something witty to say xD

Does anyone else think that the Man Utd v Fulham ticket saga may just be a pre-designed webpage that's been accidently released early? I can't imagine that other clubs (especially those as popular as Man U) don't do similar, it's just an admin cock-up at their end. Apparently a few screenshots of it have either been faked, or the webpage has been removed.

No, think clubs do it all the time. Brentford announced how they were going to sell tickets for the Chelsea game before beating Southend in the replay last night.

As a "neutral" I want extra time xD

west ham had a penalty denied for hand ball that was pretty much the same as the one man utd did get. why does this always seem to happen at old trafford? for all the nation to see. nothing but old trafford decisions.

With regard to the "grounds attended" postings, I will not make a posting as I most probably have forgotten some (maybe a lot) league and non-league grounds that I have been to since 1955....

However, I do have had the honour of attending a home match at Claggan Park, the ground of the team where no end of bad results, waterlogged pitches and playing "second-fiddle" to the local shinty club seem to diminish their will to continue. I give you...Fort William FC.
