Hi everyone, just back from stage 2 tests and DMI. Very long day. Off to bed soon as up at 0430 for work.

Just to let you know I asked question about courses. For anyone like me for Birmingham and those who have put down Crewe, they are looking at starting a course early November. He said it looks like it will be a residential course in Crewe to start of with before moving on to depots.

Just don't get worked up about tests as it's all very relaxed. DMI was super relaxing and chilled. MMI well you all know from other posts.

It's a round robin and so 3 did computer, 1 did MMI and the other one did DMI. Number 6 didn't turn up. MMI and DMI they said we will find out in a few weeks and Vienna computer tests we found out straight away if pass or fail. We all passed computer, god knows how as I thought I proper messed up.

Basically and weirdly you could do DMI and MMI first, then do computer tests, fail computer tests and so was no point in doing other interviews other than experience. If you do computer tests first and fail you will be sent home straight away without doing other interviews. I know strange setup but that's how it is.

Of to bed now so feel free to ask questions but I won't be able to answer until tomorrow at some point.

Enjoyable but long day.

Can I ask when you sat stage 1 and when you got an invite for stage 2 please?

Don't know how many they want tbh, but he did say they need quite a few drivers.

Basically yes, if you pass MMI and DMI it lol either be a yes or no email I guess.

Staying the night before helped a lot. When you go to Freightliner for the tests just follow sat nav then the depot road for ages until you see the big green Freightliner building.

Hi mate, can I ask what location you had applied for? As I did my assessments the same time as you, and was also successful. I have my medical next week. Cheers
Hi Tim, I'm going for Ipswich I had my medical about 2 weeks after the management interview

Did they tell you there and then if you passed or not? :)

EDIT: Don't worry, just seen you added some info to your post since I looked, thanks!

Congratulations mate, I’m ipswich also. Was a bit of a delay on getting my medical date, as Work couldn’t release me due to staff shortages. But finally got a date, and looking forward to the journey ahead. No doubt I’ll meet you soon. I’ll pm you if you don’t mind

considering the group on the 23rd was only a day before ours on the 24th morning session the 23rd group have had a quick turn around with getting results couple days ago and then getting their stage 2 dates which is literally around the corner.

I was there on the 23rd and I haven't heard back, starting to feel as if the writing's on the wall and I wasn't successful :'(

it is strange how the marking is all taking place etc but hopefully as the saying goes " no news is good news" plays a part in all of our results that we are awaiting for

Friday is the last day we were told to expect them by, as the drivers who sat it on the 23rd found out last Thursday perhaps we will also find out on Thursday?

There were loads there on all assessments I reckon, and only a small number in comparison are posting here at railUk, so it probably appears worse than it actually is and they’re getting through them all in no particular order. Chin up mate, and good luck! I’m resting any glimmer of hope on this method, but really just want to know now. I know they said it would take two weeks, but I’ve always assumed this as the longest it’ll take.

Afternoon guys, I've done all my assessments and manager interview in July I've passed everything and I'm on the December course with the people that pass these assessments. If you need and advice or help please let me know I'll do my best to help!

Hello mate. I’m at Freightliner on Friday for stage 2 of the assessment centre. From a practical point of view, what’s parking like on site? Also were you there for the whole day? If so, did you take food with you? These might seem like stupid questions but I don’t want to be sat in the interview with my stomach rumbling!

Same here the 29th, I was expecting our results the end of this week but could be longer by the looks of it.

Just seen this so hope it's ok I answer? Take food as no facilities there.

Parking isn't a issue either.

Hi congratulations on passing everything, in your interview did they discuss salary with you at all?
