720136 on a Stratford service displaying a 'not in service ' destination and no interior lighting! Interior PIS seems okay though.

Is there a list anywhere of which units are still to enter service?

I understand that 101, 137, 144 and 519 are all in service
As far as reports go, 720519 was reported on test earlier in the week. 720137 was reported not to have passed fault free running yet. 720101 has been reported at Willesden, not Ilford, but has subsequently moved over today. 720144 hasn't been reported in London.

Happy to be corrected if there are further developments. 720519 would appear likely to be next in service.

I saw 720101 at Stafford on Wednesday 24/04. It was looking immaculate, with plastic coverings still on the seats.

Unless RTT isn't showing what it's doing right now it's berthed off peak - the next working appears to be the 16.15 Liverpool Street to Clacton ( with 720 514 )

720 138 + 720 102 have entered service this evening.

Currently inbound to Liverpool Street from Southend Victoria due Stratford at 17.02...

Sorry Peter. 720102/138 were in service on Saturday last (27/4) I noted them at Stratford at 16:40 working 1K83 (15:50 SOV-LST).

Ah... I didn't see mention on here, or seen them on RTT until now...

Updated: I have been reminded that not only were these two in service on 5th April, but I was actively feeding someone their whereabouts from RTT on that date...!!!

720101 is coupled up with 720517 and in service today. RTT only shows 517. 101 now in my haulage book.

Is there any chance of the spare 720s moving over to Stansted Express, obviously modified accordingly, to release 745's to the Norwich route?

I'm sure I recall reading something about this being proposed by GA on here somewhere but can't find it now.

There's already two class 720 pairs working Stansted Express diagrams - but these have not been modified in any way.

This was inevitable. They could barely cover the five Stansted diagrams when it was half hourly. I believe there is one booked pair of 720s with eight 745s but no doubt on the day substitutions are common.

Surprisingly, during observation on 09.05.24, there did not appear to be any 720s on Stanstead Express workings, but there was a Norwich Express 745/0 on one circult.

That's normal, one unit swaps from Norwich trains (off 1P25) to cover 1B58 and 1B59 before swapping with the /1 off 1P35, picking up the Norwich circuit from 1P36. One also comes down from Norwich on the circuit up to and including 1P43, before swapping to form 1B92, 1B93, 1B10, 1B11, et al. for the rest of the night.

720101 already has a coach locked out on 2M52 according to journey check
Interestingly, I can see that message for the 22:26 and 22:50, but not its current journey.
