What???? That’s so sadIt was withdrawn. I can't remember if it was one of the powercars that went to Great Yarmouth
Until the plan changes again!I know it's been mentioned in here already, but Rail Express No. 330 has confirmed (unless plans change) that they are reminding until May 2025, at which point they will be removed.
There will be some serious expenditure needed if they are to go beyond them: power unit overhauls and major exams would be due.Until the plan changes again!
I cannot remember lease timings but perhaps this allows sufficient time for GWR to acquire any surplus stock from TfW displaced by the 197 introduction.I know it's been mentioned in here already, but Rail Express No. 330 has confirmed (unless plans change) that they are reminding until May 2025, at which point they will be removed.

I'm still hoping they'll get to 50 years in passenger service! Need to squeeze an extra year or so, but looks like they will still be on deparmental duties post 2025 anywaySo the 125 will grace Laira until at least summer '25

ScotRail ones will still be around.I'm still hoping they'll get to 50 years in passenger service! Need to squeeze an extra year or so, but looks like they will still be on deparmental duties post 2025 anyway
Don't bet on it. I think the 222s will replace them.ScotRail ones will still be around.
If that was the plan, why are ScotRail spending a load of cash on new WSP equipment for the power cars?Don't bet on it. I think the 222s will replace them.

The 1555 calls at more stations, so despite leaving only 8 mins later it arrives in Penzance a full 30 mins later - by Truro the 1555 regains a the usual off-peak half-hourly pattern offset from the 1547.
Indeed, that being first weekday after the December timetable change occurs on Sunday, the 10th.To be implemented on 11 December.
