Hi all,

Is anyone able to advise what diagrams the IETs run on weekdays from Cardiff to Paddington if different to page one of this thread please?

Thanks!

1C03 07.00 PAD BRI 37 late off PAD according to RTT. Hoping to pick this diagram up later. Anyone know what's up and whether it will stay the course today?

According to RTT, eventually arrived at BTM having cut the deficit a little by skipping Didcot, then left BTM on the 0930 to Paddington about 7 minutes late. Seems to be still in service. Train Fault, according to National Rail Enquiries

According to darwin and journey check it was cancelled, and reinstated but only calling at Temple Meads.

Ah yes. That's how it appeared on NRE. Presumably the RTT times were all for passing through non stop

Weekend services starting soon?

Didn't this question get answered on the previous page? It will be a couple of weeks before any weekend work commences, and I'm sure details of the workings will appear on here in advance of the date.

I have been waiting to book PAD to CDF on Sat 2nd December for the Wales South Africa rugby match.
The routing wasn't decided until a week ago, and there is a major routing change between Reading and Swindon via Newbury and Chippenham then reversing at Swindon. 3hours 20 min to Cardiff from Paddington.
I wondered if this might be the reason the 800s were not running as the diagrams are all to pot. Driver training on the 800 diversion routes too?

No, once as driver is trained on the units, he/she is able to drive them on any route with which he/she has signed.

I'm travelling CDF to PAD on Saturday 11th Nov.
Am I right in thinking the 1829 Swansea to Paddington should be an 800/IET ?
The Wales Australia game kicks off at 1715 so this is the train I'll probably be catching from CDF after the match at 1926.

No. Probably not, the weekend diagrams are currently on hold.

I thought that might be the case, so didn’t want to build my hopes of it being an IET. Thank you.
I’ll do a trip next week on the 1045 from Paddington and go for their excellent brunch menu on an HST and then come back on an IET from Cardiff.
I was very lucky to be given a private conducted tour of the Hitachi Newton Aycliffe facility recently, so I’ll be very interested to take a ride on one next week.
Thank you for the info. TT-ONR-NRM

It's NRN, but you're welcome and I'm glad I was able to help. :)

Is it still just the one IEP via Weston and Taunton on Monday as per the first page or is there any update? I thought I read the 1717 from Temple Meads would be a IEP at somepoint but can't remember the date.

I saw these posters on Reading station on Wednesday. It gives details of the IET services currently. Hopefully there’s going to be an update for next week as I believe there will be extra class 800 services from Monday 13 November. Others will be better able to comment on the latest plans though.

As stated above, they are still as per the first post on this thread.

Any IETs out today Sunday 12th?

Edit: think the above post may have answered my question?

It appears the 0645 Paddington to Swansea is indeed at IET this morning (010 & 012). For some reason I’m unable to check the 0633 Bristol to London.

800 pairs for today:

800008 & 009
800001 & 003
800012 & 010

800005 should be out with 800006 but 006 had failed on depot, so presume 005 is running 5 vice 10 or an HST is out instead.

Passed a 5 car on its own on what would’ve been the 1145 Paddington to Swansea. Also passed another 5 car shortly after, which I presume was a training run.
