Any chance of getting a delay repay as it's now getting to Hull 61 mins late despite on the site it saying:
"We will not accept claims for a refund if we have previously published an amended or emergency timetable or given details of an alternative route due to engineering work."
I'm not too sure about how long the emergency timetable has to be put in place for this not to count towards Delay Repay.
I'd say you have no chance but you can always ask. It's not as if they have anything better to do at the moment
Why don't you just hand your tickets back for a full refund?
Going up there for football so would best to still go
Youll do well to get a result in Hull...
i bet it is the mines engineer

Doesn't the 'slightest' delay have to be 30 minutes, for a 50% refund?A very good scheme if used/applied correctly but it seems every body expects it for the slightest minimal delay!
Is it likely the 0505 Cleethorpes-Doncaster will get to Doncaster intime for me to get the 0646 CrossCountry to Sheffield, as it says the bus gets to Doncaster at 0640. Does anyone know how busy the roads are at that time of morning?
Thanks, Sam
Knew where the bus stops and how to get to the train station. It was just that I couldn't remember how long it takes to get from bus to train.Shouldn't be any traffic delays on M18 etc, but be aware that the rail replacement buses do NOT stop at Doncaster station front, but instead at Platform C in the Frenchgate Interchange. The walk between the bus stop and platform 8 at Doncaster is likely to take you 5 minutes (assuming you know your way! and are walking fast without luggage). Within the bus station (Interchange) follow the signs (left off bus) to the station end of the Interchange and into the station. Next train is 0700 Northern stopper to Sheffield.

Luggage will be a rucksack on my back and a rucksack on my uncles back. Off round Birmingham for day, using the London Midland Great Escape ticket

What an odd diversion that was. Instead of going straight from Doncaster round to the junction before Knottingley, it went up to Wakefield Kirkgate, waited there for about 5mins and then did reversing movement all the way back round via Knottingley and Pontefract.

Yep, I think it may be one of the oddest diversions I've ever been on!
I had the distinct impression that they were route conducted - and I suspect we swapped route conductors between the north and south bound services at Wakefield Kirkgate. Perhaps TPE's Cleethorpes and Hull depots have the knowledge for accessing Crofton with the 170s?
