Today on Drum Brae North, I noticed 2 Lothian driver training buses. Is a new route being planned on that road? Both stopped at the stop near Craigmount Avenue North. That's where the old 32 and 52 used to go.
They may use this road to get to Queensferry which they visit reguarly.

Edit - yes indeed. Here is TB2s map history: https://bustimes.org/vehicles/loth-168#journeys/584965160

As for new routes, they don't follow them until they are announced as far as I am aware (this was the case with 46 and revised 48). They'd have to be single decker routes as well, as they rarely familiarize double decker routes.

Disappointing if it is as I thought that new route would go via Cammo and East Craigs to Maybury. We shall just have to wait and see.
It will go directly along Maybury Road as far as I know. Cammo Estate provided part of the funding for it.

Bus crash https://www.edinburghlive.co.uk/news/edinburgh-news/moment-back-edinburgh-lothian-bus-29263514
A shocked Edinburgh resident captured the aftermath of a lorry and a 31 Lothian Bus crash on Roseburn Terrace.

The incident is understood to have taken place at around 11.05am on Thursday May 30 on the busy road leading into the city centre.

In an image shared with Edinburgh Live, the back end of the bus looks to be badly damaged with parts of the panelling coming loose onto the junction of Roseburn Terrace and Roseburn Street.

Internal parts of the double decker were visible due to the mangled rear of the bus after the crash on a tight corner.

An eyewitness said: "A lorry tried to turn onto Roseburn Street and the bus was going straight on. It was very tight so when the lorry turned, its back end swung out and that's when there was a collision with the bus."

The bus appears to be parked across the West to East cycle lane following the impact as it awaits maintenance

Honestly, as controversial as it sounds, it's not the end of the world, absolute worse case scenario is someone transferring from a 31 onto (Insert route number here) from Maybury Road, the whole point is to connect Cammo with the Gyle, if there is enough demand in the future maybe an East Craig extension would be considered.

I would have thought that it would have served East Craigs since there is no direct link to the Gyle yet it is so close.

Thank you - just found out that information, does look worse than some
Perhaps looks worst than it is. In this instance it was moved directly to Seafield not Ferrymill (buses do not go to Seafield before they are moved to Ferrymill in such circumstances). From the image it doesn't look like the internals were really affected. A few damaged panels and smashed windows.

So typical of what passes for the press these days. Poorly researched, poorly written and, more often than not, with poor grammar. These so-called reporters possibly think that "grammar" is your grandad's wife.

Did the B8L Enviro 400 XLBs have hearing loop systems installed before or are these newly being implemented as of this week? 1063-1065, after visiting Seafield, have gained 'Hearing Loop Installed' stickers to the left of the cab door.

This seems to be correct, as I can now confirm that buslistsontheweb.co.uk is now showing updated information for the pair of Volvo 9700s. What is now shown is 9012 under the plate SJ73HVL, and 9013 under the plate SJ73HWL.
It's now showing 9012 as HWL and 9013 as HVL.
