Aye, well my sig gets updated as and when I remember to do it. Since you pointed it out, I'd best go change it.

Ivo: Not likely that, have been informed I need to change my spending patterns drastically, so I'll be lucky to get 10,000 by the end of the year!

Very tight for that coveted 10th spot at present! I'm down in 13th still <( but within 100 of 10th, as is the guy immediately behind me! It really is that close! :D

Last weekend's mileage accumulation went reasonably well, and with the lot from Wednesday too, I'm now at a very reasonable (for not quite 5 months) 6,493m46c <D

This weekend promises plenty more mileage! :D

I've hit a problem. My Uni have decided that they're not going to give me an accommodation loan this year ("First Years Only") so now I have only a few hundred pounds to see me through to late September. So it has to be cheap mileage only, for the most part, until then. I'm on over 7,500 miles now, which is good, but if I said that I'm looking at heading to Reading by bus - eight hours' worth - it shows the scale of the issue...

Mind you, the Great Western Main Line is expensive by comparison anyway. Even if not to XC levels.

Just to warn you all!

My Mileage is going to go up drastically over the Next 1 - 2 weeks!

Trip to Legoland ([stn]WNC[/stn]) on Sat returning Sun.
Trip from [stn]BSN[/stn] to [stn]DON[/stn] on Tues
Then a day trip in London on Saturday next week.

I say drastically because it is compared to my normal mileage accumulation!

My daily commute is 190M 66ch I have done that about 85 times so far this year allowing for leave, bank holidays and the few days I have worked locally.

After ~ 16,200 miles the novelty is starting to wear off.

--- old post above --- --- new post below ---

My next mileage is coming this Saturday with my monthly return to Birmingham. However, as recently suggested I am having to save money wherever possible to see me through the summer, so I might to have to try something different this time. Having said that though, running via Worcester - which is a longer route - is cheaper, so I may have to try that (awkward getting back though). Then it's off to London on Tuesday...

...for my first-ever date!

Feeling very nervous about it...

Well good luck for that, although it's a dang long way to go for a date! :o

My mileage now stands at 7,130 miles and whatever chains. As for my signature, I'll change it this weekend, or later, whenever I can be bothered!

I have a few trips planned:

Saturday I am going to Birmingham with a Great Escape ticket.

Tuesday I have a Southern Daysave ticket so who knows where I'll go with that.

And at some point I'm taking the boyfriend to the capital.

Currently, my total (Excluding the East London Line from Saturday because no accurate mileage data is available yet on RailMiles) is: 3232 miles and 66 chains. Lets see how much it will rise after the next few trips!

First of the year - 24 miles of pacer action, have been to Dawlish today to enjoy the beach (in the brief bits of sunshine), did see the DB 67 plus HSTs a plenty. Though drawing geeky things on the beach was my main interest :D

I am taking a trip to Paris in the summer via Eurostar but cannot find mileage data from the French channel tunnel portal to Paris Gare du Nord, anybody know where I can get this?

I've gone all geeky on my excel sheet and now have facts!!

Total Distance so far: 10340.76 miles
Most Commonly Used TOC: LuL (16.3% of all journeys)
Most Distance Travelled With One TOC: Virgin (4102.31 miles)
Least Used Class of Train: Class 458 (6.79 miles)

Sad I know!

I know, it's just that she lives in Brentwood, and it's x times easier for me to go to her than it is for her to come to me. So we're meeting at Liverpool Street, and then should be meeting in non-date circumstances (which could be interesting...!) the following Saturday at Hyde Park. But in order to keep the cost down, I have elected to go to Reading on Monday - by bus. Now, as though that wouldn't normally be hard enough, it's a Bank Holiday! But if it'll restrict my travel costs to a YP £12 Travelcard, then so be it.

Oh, and in case you didn't guess, my monthly Brum run is off. AGAIN. Stupid estate agents, only giving us until Tuesday to give them a holding fee. When tomorrow is a Sunday, Monday is a Bank Holiday and Tuesday is my date.

P.S.: Thank you ;)

Yesterday @ 0828am

Well that's half of my trip to Windsor and Eton CTRL shame I can only count to Ingatestone due to engineering works!

It is a shame 'superbreaks' couldn't book a hotel properly - it would have saved a lot of hassle!

Sorry to hear that Ivo :|

Jumped up somewhat closer to my 10,000 target for 2010 on Saturday, with a new total of 7,299 miles and something chains. May turned out awesome for me. 1,577 miles and something chains in May, which considering I didn't go on many trips wasn't bad!
