Seems to be typical of external designers if you ask me - clueless about anything outside of London. The mock-ups for the Southampton Central Station forecourt remodelling and the new Albion Place bus station all have blue buses with London roundels on them!

Clueless seems a bit strong. Those details might be important to enthusiasts but not to the vast majority of people.

I'm not an enthusiast and just found it strange as I was zooming to look more at the new planned interchange
You are an enthusiast enough to comment on a thread on a forum about it.

I remember on the Northampton artist impressions there were multiple Virgin Trains in the platforms yet at the time they only called twice a day.

Essentially they are bendy buses in the style of a tram, everyone gets on at any door they wish. I believe some people in Belfast aren’t fans of it so we will see what people in the LCR think of it.
There's a need to speed up bus boarding times and reduce stop dwell times. Part of the solution is reformed ticketing but the prevalence of single-door buses is also a major factor.

At least it was a bus that you currently find in England. Olympians and buses from mainland Europe are often favourites for artists impressions.

I hear the routemasters may need new homes soon so let's hope Steve takes them in as it would be so much better

True but given the rubbish buses St Helens currently has anyone would notice the different buses...
