...but I couldn't tell you the names without looking them up, but I think one of them was City of Milton Keynes.

I'll give you that. 86 211 was "City of Milton Keynes" and 86 429 was named "The Times" followed by two dates - that of the year that the paper was founded and that of the year of naming. Your turn.

Thank you.

What do the following seven locomotives have in common as of January 2025?

03 081 ( carries the original number D2381 - the number carried is irrelevant to this question )
07 007
25 278
45 118

Are they all main line registered?

This is a draw, I think!!!

@xotGD - not the last, but the only example of those classes currently main line registered.

That's not quite the same as "last" as some locomotives can be added and removed from the registry

@Cowley has correctly stated they are main line registered, but without the "sole example" distinction, although that's certainly close enough!!

Please decide between yourselves which of you can register the next question to be introduced to traffic.

I’m going to hand it to @xotGD if that’s ok?

Keighley, Oakworth, Haworth or Oxenhope?
Well three of those are incorrect, but I'll let you have it.

48305 will be a guest at the KWVR steam gala, while 48431 is a static exhibit at Oxenhope.

Thanks! Next up....still on the 8F theme:

What was the number of the 8F driven by John Axon - as in the ballad of - which was wrecked in the Chapel-en-le-Frith disaster in 1957?

I can quote all of the particular verse concerned -- except for the loco's number ! I've never been what you'd call highly numerate...

Warship loco D812 carried an out of sequence name that it was not originally intended to carry.
What was the originally published name?
