Your guess is correct. It closed as an overhaul facility then....although, as @Gloster says, the foundry and spring shop continued - with a much-reduced workforce - until 1995. Perhaps we should have a tie-breaker between the two of you?....although it was the closure of the main overhaul workshops that I had in mind.I think it was much later. Early 80s.
