I have a problem trying to use RTT on my Android mobile phone. The screen freezes and I am unable to enter location data. Sometimes it unfreezes eventually, but it's very frustrating if I am trying to get info in a hurry. It's only a problem on RTT, other websites work OK. Any suggestions?

I've just noticed RealTimeTrains have added a ticketing site. I like the interface! It has split ticketing, which at a quick glance seems to equal Trainsplit.
That's because it is Trainsplit!

"Train ticket sales on this website are processed by our technology partner, Ferries Trains Planes Ltd trading as TrainSplit, which is a company registered in England (with company registration number 3067728)."

Perhaps they're looking at a fix that stops one of the end cars on the 231 being the wrong way round half the time, before implementing any others? Anyway, let's be patient, it's surely not a big deal.
This should now, finally, be fixed. It's related to some really appalling data coming in.

...and we should add that this is not the fault of RTT itself; it's what the data supplied to them says...
No, this particular one is on us and is due to be fixed in a forthcoming change.

Just a reminder that discussion about Real Time Tickets can be found in the below thread, here we're still concerned with Rail Time Trains itself.

I am attempting to access the RTT website using Firefox browser.
I have just tried using Chrome as an alternative, and that works OK. Curious as to why Firefox gets hung up.

I'm not seeing any issues with Firefox, even in strict security mode. There do seem to be a quite impressive number of ads today (new year, new ad budget), which might be slowing things down, but nothing is stopping it from working.

No, it's not a "today" problem, more like the past month.

Does 'RealTimeTrains' sometimes return spurious results for intermediate station(s) when a train that was originally meant to call there, has run, but has been re-routed via an alternative route?

In short - yes, quite often.

Not quite sure how that can happen! If a train is diverted off booked route it will not generate any automatic Trust reports at locations it does not pass through, so is someone inputting incorrect manual reports?

See linked example below.

Suggests the 1756 Northern service from Cheadle Hulme to Alderley Edge on Friday 04APR2025 departed at 1818. It didn't, as it was routed via the Styal line. Similarly the 1824 departure to Crewe, supposedly departing Cheadle Hulme platform 2 at 1837.

But if you click on the service, it shows ‘no report’ at Cheadle Hulme.

That's just been reported as passed once it terminated. I'm not sure it's the ideal way of presenting it, but it's better than leaving it on the list as "no report" like it still might happen.

Strange, but as Class 15 says, the individual train details show no report at Cheadle Hulme, or indeed any other station except Piccadilly, Wilmslow and Alderley Edge; Which is correct for a diversion via Styal, as are the Detail reports which show nothing between Slade Lane Jc and Wilmslow.

No problems with using RTT on Firefox on my Android mobile phone. Have you tried restarting the phone, that may kick RTT into life?

I've restarted it multiple times. Still doesn't like Firefox, but OK on Chrome.

Is this when the advert for next pops up? When using safari it freezes until the advert recedes

Re all the discussion above - I'll point back to the 'it's on us to fix' message I posted around midday.

It certainly might be related to the pop-up ads.
Without having more information, it would be hard to say what the cause is. Please drop a line to [email protected] and one of the team will help you there.

Prior to 31st March when we made a lot of behind the scenes changes, and 1st April when we launched tickets, the site was pretty much untouched for about a year. So I suspect this may be linked to the ads. But again, not enough information here to know. We are actively working on an ad free option which will be launching soon which whilst it might be an option is obviously not the best one.

Some seem to be on, others not. A Hereford service doesn’t have an allox but others do… will wait until tomorrow

Brilliant news, now both of my local TOCs are on KYT, alongside everything through Birmingham!

Just put a couple of random 730s in and on one of them 048 shows instead of the 038 i requested but hey I'm not complaining as it is fantastic to have WMT on board this extremely useful function.

Edit.

What an idiot i am!!! 048 is working with 038 but i didn't scroll along on my mobile.

Ah yes, I've just seen London Northwestern train allocations this morning. The 350s actually looks good. Been waiting ages for these to appear. Thanks so much for adding them.
