I wonder where Network Rail will be planning to route us through next. Didcot Parkway ?

Bit dissappointed we won't be doing the Tyne Valley now.

Tour now full (well, there's one or two seats remaining, shout NOW if you want one!)

scoope - times for stations are on the website, would you like an intermediate time? e.g. Preston 0829, Carlisle 1020. Will you be photting the tour?

If it helps, we can update this thread with the actual times on the day?

Any idea what time this will be through Shipley? I imagine I'll be able to hear it from my house, but it'd be nice to go and have a look.

It does not go through Shipley, it uses the Copy Pit route via Burnley.

James has advised me that although tomorrow's tour is fully booked, as there are some passengers alighting at Motherwell, there are a limited number of std class seats available for the Motherwell-Stirling-Motherwell leg. Price will be £15 (single) or £20 (return), payment by cash (he has no facility for taking cards on the train).

A very enjoyable day, with some nice speedy runs down the WCML on the way back. Good beer and comfortable trains. Just what Inter-City travel should be :D

Hope you all enjoyed yourselves on Saturday's tour. We have received some really positive feedback, and despite the short notice alterations by NR, I don't think it could have operated any smoother on the day.

Thank you to all on here who supported us, and I shall look forward to welcoming you on future trips!

James.

I was too busy drinking Sangria in Costa Daurada whilst all this was going on! Good to hear the tour ran faultlessly. Top marks to James, once again! :)
