According to Network Rail management an advance payment, provided the offer is accepted by 27 September, will be made on the 6 October. However, the main pay award and backpay isn't due until December.

There's absolutely no mention of RMT members having to wait for other unions within the collective bargaining agreement to decide. Unfortunately, that's one of those things.

The main bugbear of many will be the fact it takes so long to pay out on the agreed award. Just as bizarre, talks with Network Rail are scheduled to commence in October for the 2025 pay submission.
It's a well known tactic by NWR, hold out until near Christmas time and they know people will vote for their new offer.

Train drivers GTR will be paid in the next pay day. What about rest of the rail sectors ? Anyone knows???
I would imagine all drivers will get some if not all back pay in their next pay.

As for RMT, do we know the TSSA result? If it's a yes then it will be down to individual payroll departments on whether it will be in next pay, the one after or a split payment.

I can’t provide an official source but the screenshot or copied message doing the rounds at work says it was “overwhelmingly accepted” by TSSA members

Update from TPE, due to manual admin work involved back pay won't be paid before 13th Dec payday - although an email earlier today from RMT says TPE "are hopeful" to pay it in November's pay (15th Nov). The MDs weekly video says TPE aren't the only TOC that will have to do this.

I'm hoping for better from my TOC, the last backpay was sorted in just over a week. If this takes 8 weeks there will be a lot of grumbling.

Well my time sheet for wages goes in on the 6th to be paid for the 11th so definitely not October for me
Same, goes to banks on the 9th so extremely unlikely unless they've done the workings out already. But no excuse for not being in November pay

No one knows anything for sure…

TOCs, NR, Unions…all quiet!
NR have confirmed the arrangements for payment of backpay and when payrises will be applied now for the different employee groups involved , and actually paid an advance of the backpay .
