Such is the performance of
Thameslink of late, I thought they had been on strike for the last few weeks anyway.

That being said, never had any issue with any of the toilets, probably the cleanest I’ve seen on the majority of the network.

Our trains had this last year due to the lack of use in the pandemic. We just shut the loos and carried on. I’ll back industrial action all day when it’s sensible. This really isn’t.

Just a update but the RMT is no longer in dispute with Thameslink over the issue which they were as Thameslink was in breach of various health and safety agreements at the time.

That isn't the case of all and is more akin to a Conservative Anti Union member then a member of a rail forum.

They raised concerns with TL about Legionaires, the initial response from TL wasn't good enough so the RMT advised TL that because of this they were now in dispute with them which I believe has now been resolved but only because the RMT made their point clear.

If the RMT did nothing like some on here would like then they wouldn't be doing their job making the workplace safe for their members or Joe Public.
Well said

No surprise. Wonder why it took them so long to back down.
Maybe the question should be why did it take Thameslink so long to actually come up with a resolution to do something that wasn't in breach of health and safety agreements between themselves, RMT and Siemens?

Thameslink should have been more proactive as we wouldn't have had the dispute in the first place if they acted quicker.

AIUI (being told by someone close to this), as soon as the issue was discovered a revised process was put in place immediately, and that was advised to the RMT immediately. This was a month ago.

How? The RMT declared they were in dispute; it’s up to them to declare they’re not anymore (as they have done now). But why did it take them a month?
