There’s 13 TS vehicles still to be delivered. There are still some of the fifth carriages to be delivered.
Aren't they just showing off that there are no unrefurbished (slamdoor) sets left now?
26 sets have arrived. So they are actually correct.
Only warranty work and additional 5th carriage capacity left.
If Scotrail were timetabling the full diagram working as refurb HST then yes, they have the sets to do it.
I thought that someone had commented above that the diagrammed daily operations only needed 24 sets? They are one set down following the Stonehaven derailment (permanently, unless an additional set is ordered - definitely three and probably all four of the Mk3s were damaged beyond repair).

I thought it was less than that, because even with the loss of a set at Carmont that left more than two sets that could be out for maintenance if neededI thought that someone had commented above that the diagrammed daily operations only needed 24 sets?
Fair enough, personally I feel they are expecting quite high availability - too high.Just had a look up-thread, it was 23 that was mentioned: https://www.railforums.co.uk/thread...uction-updates-discussion.137911/post-4829391
Probably. But the point still stands that they have more sets on hand than are diagrammed on a daily basis.Fair enough, personally I feel they are expecting quite high availability - too high.
And an even stranger route to reverse the set. Through Slateford, out via Shotts and back via Carstairs!
Still a pretty odd route - Doncaster to Newcastle (ECML), Tyne Valley, G&SW to Kilmarnock, then across to Edinburgh via Shotts.VSTP routing now amended
Realtime Trains - 5S01 1032 Doncaster Works Wabtec to Slateford Depot
Anyone know if there is currently a pair of powercars at Wabtec or is it likely to be 47/57 and barriers?VSTP routing now amended

I know we have to treat the timing load with some caution but it is down as 125mph so that suggests power cars to me.Anyone know if there is currently a pair of powercars at Wabtec or is it likely to be 47/57 and barriers?
Not long ago I said the same thing, turned out to be a 47 hauling!I know we have to treat the timing load with some caution but it is down as 125mph so that suggests power cars to me.
Even if it was there isn't alot of places where it could probably reach 100 nevermind 125.I know we have to treat the timing load with some caution but it is down as 125mph so that suggests power cars to me.
You mean other than on the ECML between Doncaster and Durham?Even if it was there isn't alot of places where it could probably reach 100 nevermind 125.
Plenty of places, even some in ScotlandEven if it was there isn't alot of places where it could probably reach 100 nevermind 125.
None in Scotland? The route it takes the line speed only ever gets to 95...Plenty of places, even some in Scotland
Thats the only parts. You mean other than on the ECML between Doncaster and Durham?
Sorry, I'd completely forgotten it wasn't going the usual route straight up the ECML, otherwise you'd have the 125 sections between Dunbar and EdinburghNone
