Hi does anyone have an up to date list of which power cars are presently attached to which sets?

I know that RTT gives this information but you need to know every diagram and it won’t also detail those not working.

The 3 remaining MK3s at Slateford were heavily vandalised and will take time to repair. The fourth remaining coach is at Haymarket and I doubt it will ever be used as it hs been heavily stripped of parts to keep the rest of the fleet going.

They are deffo looking to do something with the buffet cars too, I think they want to improve on board hospitality which can only be a good thing. Whether it happens though is another story.

Allegedly there could be half a dozen or so voyagers heading North to Scotland as a temporary stop gap when the HSTs are getting phased out. They're already cleared for Aberdeen but unsure if they are permitted on the HML to Inverness.

If the 222s do go to ScotRail... that'll be two lots of ex-Hull Trains stock that's been sent to mock Scottish travellers with their closed miniature buffets. Though the performance of 22x-type trains has been desired since at least 2008.

I'm sure Angel Trains will submit a bid to do something to the HSTs, unless explicitly prohibited by the specification. Not sure that there's anything else suitable floating around in the appropriate numbers to be a credible bid. Are there couple of dozen Class 170s behind a sofa somewhere?

Oh ok .I'm surprised as HA02 was at Cadder with big yellow metal Wabtec covers on the gangway ends and there's still a set there like that. Have they boarded up HA20 in the same way for some reason?

Yes, it's there for Wabtec mods.

Agreed! The payback cones from extended time between bogie overhauls. It just indicates the stupidity of ScotRail’s decision making throughout the entire HST programme.

It was meant to done earlier this year in time for the leaf fall season just passed but that obviously slipped.Theyve probably got two leaf falls (at least) ahead of them so probably still worth doing depending who's paying.

I think a lot of it is going to depend on how EMR's introduction of the 810s into service goes next year and into 2026.
