The amount of times i've heard 16 - 18 year olds on the Arriva 890 from Bridgnorth to Wolverhampton (Or Back) Discussing there sex life and what they get up to is stupid.

Have yet to come across that on trains though.

Funnily enough, I have. In Wolverhampton of all places.

You guys might be amused to learn that one of the girls was seriously trying it on with one of the other girls.

Queen fans belong in First Class.

They actually belong in the carriage of 'People who need to acquire a better taste in rock music' ;) First Class belongs to Eagles, Led Zepp, The Who and Pink Floyd fans.

I'd actually be tempted to put Brian May, John Deacon and Roger Taylor into the carriage of chavs etc, it would get them out of the way and they can pester other people with Freddie Mercury stories.

Which one was you

The sort of Alasdair Darling look-alike (was working then for a rail group ,and was assked by BBC for advice - so rustled up self , Mark from Seat61 and Ian Walmsley - a good mix of operations , rolling stock excellence and customer service)

(we had nothing to do with the NRM lot in the 1st class)

Filming took a long day , very enjoyable , but only around 5% - if that - of what we said etc was used. The ride on the train was scary - and little brake force. Working with Clarkson et al was very amusing and entertaining. Quite enjoyed the banter and seeing how a fillum is made.:D

Anyone using a mac (may be extended to all Apple products in the future)

For me it isn't the actual Apple Product - more those god awful white things that ship with Apple products that they have the nerve to call "Earphones". They must be the leakiest, poorest sounding Earphones/Earbuds/Headphones (Whatever you want to call them!) available. I reckon the ones I used to buy as a 7 year old for 99p from the market were of better quality.

Here's a clue - if I can hear 'tsssst, tssst, tsst' coming from your 'cans' through my 'noise isolating' Sennheisers....whilst you are sitting 10 yards further down the carriage from me, you've either got it too loud or you must be wearing Apple earphones - it's usually the latter.

I have seen numerous people ask the offenders to turn their music down, only for the offending person to get the right hump as if to say "don't you know these are Apple earphones?" (In some cases I have seen people told to "just **** off!" when they have asked politely for music to be turned down!!!).

In case you couldn't tell - this is a pet peeve of mine! , so here is a polite plea to Apple users everywhere......

BUY SOME DECENT HEADPHONES!!!!!

I know it's a massive generalisation but you seem to get a lot of holier than thou types on Apple products - as though they are somehow better than you because they have an iDevice.

Can we throw Reality TV "personalities" while we're at it?

In the words of Bob the Builder - Yes we can

Assuming that Scum Class would have lower fares, can all MP's be forced to travel Scum Class? Only to reduce the expense to the taxpayer, of course <D:lol:

The way it's going, we're gonna need a bigger carriage.

Wouldn't you agree that crush loadings are ideal for these idiots though? :p

Although the idea of the carriage breaking apart under the strain at 70mph also appeals  (Sorry to the guys who would have to clean up the mess!)

How do you know you're not in the carriage? ;)

So now we have to buy more rolling stock just to house the scum? :P

Assuming that Scum Class would have lower fares...

Oh damn, that looks like I'm going into scum class by choice, along with all others of the don't-give-a-sh*t-how-nice-a-train-it-is-as-long-as-it-gets-me-there-swiftly-and-cheaply brigade.

I'm assuming that it'll take the same time travelling in any class? Or are we having scum-only trains that travel to ridiculously slowed-down schedules.

Don't talk about London Midland and London Overground like that ;)

Or FCC for that matter...

Like someone suggested a while ago for a third class, couple a Pacer to the back of each train - and get some Japanese conductor people to squeeze the load in!

But really I don't want to hear anyone's phone conversation shouted around the carriage. Oh how I smile when we enter a tunnel and they get cut off, followed by the obligatory "Hello..? Hello...?".

There used to be a 'video' sender that would cut out mobile phone calls within a certain radius though I believe they either were or became illegal (they also required an a large amount of batteries). I am sure that if they were to be available now they would become quite popular.

(I seriously can't believe I used the "which spare stock is this you talk of?" response in this of all threads...)

Anyone who's antisocial enough to consider using such a device to go into Subscum Class.

Some people need to make phonecalls. Deal with it. (And quite a lot of them are actually able to do it at normal speech volume, believe it or not. :P)

99% of the phone calls made on board trains don't need to be made at all. They're just inane drivel that don't have the slightest importance. It really is annoying how people today seem to be surgically attached to their phones. They can't even turn them off in the cinema. It's funny how a decade or two ago we all used to go on train journeys and none of us felt disadvantaged that we couldn't make a phone call.

There you go all better.

Watch it you :P Disrespecting Led Zepp, the Eagles, The Who and Pink Floyd in such a manner will quickly see your name added to my ignore list ;)

Gotta admit though, without Freddie Queen look very average at times.
