unless Eastleigh sells more flame cuts on ebay... that's it I guess. Except for the preserving stuff...Is there anything left of the not-to-be-preserved 313s ?.

313216 is also scrapped. Two coaches on 31/7 and 1/8 and one coach (62608) which was held pending a possible cab saving went in September. 313218 never existed, any idea why 313018 wasnt converted, it certainly seems to have existed after the conversions to 3132xx were done judging by on line photosClass 313 fleet update (as of Nov 2023)

I notice that still leaves gaps 22, 23 & 34. I recall there were 64 built. I remember getting them all at Moorgate in roughly 1977.313216 is also scrapped. These three went to GN (back to Moorgate services) when their use on Silverlink / LO came to an end and continued to be used until the end of 313s from Moorgate, complete with their original low back seats. From memory they remained with their 122, 123 and 134 numbers. I assume that like all of the other 313s withdrawn from GN they have been scrapped but don't have the details the experts on this thread likely have!I notice that still leaves gaps 22, 23 & 34. I think 18 was out of use when the conversions were done so got left behind.
Weren't they the ones used on Silverlink to form with the 508s on the section where OHLE + Third Rail were required? These three went to GN (back to Moorgate services) when their use on Silverlink / LO came to an end and continued to be used until the end of 313s from Moorgate, complete with their original low back seats. I hope I'm not misunderstanding you, but any of Silverlink's 313s could be used alongside the 508s on the DC-only Watford line. I seem to remember the Watford line was diagrammed for two 508s and four 313s on the line Monday to Saturday, but you'd sometimes see all three 508s out. Naturally AC on the other lines precluded the 508s from doing any other Silverlink Metro lines.Weren't they the ones used on Silverlink to form with the 508s on the section where OHLE + Third Rail were required?
I was around that era and didn't have interest in the railways until nearly 5 years ago but I was told a story that 508s and 313s were coupled together very often and always questioned why it was done?I hope I'm not misunderstanding you, but any of Silverlink's 313s could be used alongside the 508s on the DC-only Watford line. To move the 508s onto Willesden depot, they had to be coupled with a 313. Usually the 508s were to be found at Watford Junction when not in service.
Just for depot moves every now and then but never in service. There may have been 313+508 moves to Bletchley from time-to-time for maintenance. Six-car 313 formations had long been verboten on the Watford line as IIRC it played havoc with track circuits.I was around that era and didn't have interest in the railways until nearly 5 years ago but I was told a story that 508s and 313s were coupled together very often and always questioned why it was done?
