RTT is showing cancellations through Grantham as being due to heat! (X4) See 1E99 for example

and one "due to a passenger taken ill (VD)", which looks like too much information but is probably just an unfortunate choice of code.

Unless I've missed something, if you're traveling tomorrow, you'll be fine. The warnings against travel are for tonight.
I was booked on the 10:46 train tomorrow morning to Carlisle, but with weather warnings etc and the chaos at Carlisle right now, I decided it just wasn't worth travelling.

I might not get stuck there .. but there's always a possibility. It's just not worth the risk, as it was only for a day trip out 'n about, nothing urgent.

I've emailed NorthernRail .. if i get a refund or replacement ticket .. that'll be great .. if not, then so be it

Anything in excess of 25 m/s (90 km/hr) is dangerous for the wind turbine so it opts to shut down.
North Sea windmills spinning nicely at near maximum output but alot of reductions of onshore in North Scotland or maybe grid operator have decided better to have disbursed generation just in case there is any storm damage to the 400kV lines

Depends what time that one was. There was a train earlier that was cancelled because it was waiting for an ambulance to arrive, can't remember if it was cancelled at Newark or Grantham though.

A Thameslink service has struck an object outside of Leagrave, which has trapped itself under the trains’ bogie.

Yes, you have missed something. Many lines will have multiple obstructions tomorrow, especially fallen trees. There is limited resources for dealing with those.
Many lines may have obstructions hence route proving trains need to be run in advance of normal running. Im sure they will also have the helicopters up as soon as flying conditions and daylight permit.

LNER 1S23 15:30 Kings Cross to Edinburgh which was advertised at Kings Cross as the last service to Edinburgh and which left very snug, full and standing, has now had to terminate at Newcastle due to the OHL damage and tree on the line.

I'm happy to stick with will. This is a very severe storm.

And daylight is not until after 0800 in all of the north of England and Scotland.

Do you think flights will remain troubled tomorrow as well as rail then? I'm due to fly in from Poland at around 4pm, haha.
You should be fine. If there are a few go-arounds it may delay your departure but it's a bit calmer tomorrow afternoon.

Tree on the line Holyhead side of Bangor

Two trains waiting at Llandudno Junction with another between Llanfairfechan and Bangor - though from RTT it looks like they're making it through to and from Anglesey with delays.

EDIT: signalling problems at Penmaenmawr making things that bit more complicated

I flew into Heathrow at around 15:00 this afternoon, windy yes, but no holding and straight down onto runway.
Have seen on FB there was a few (not many) go-arounds.

RTT only takes a snippet of delay attribution codes.

Tree down between Honor Oak Park and Forest Hill in south London. On 20:22 from London Bridge to East Grinstead which was instructed to proceed slowly. Driver reported the track we were on was clear.

Train then proceeded at a lower than normal speed limit because of storm. ( Until a passenger triggered the emergency stop.)

Does that mean the tree hit the train? Otherwise how would a passenger see it and not the driver?

Railway through the particular area (Honor Oak Park / Forest Gate) is four track, isn't it? Perhaps the tree in question had come down on one of the adjacent lines?

For those complaining about TOCs closing down early should have a look at some of the airlines trying to continue to run services. The number of planes being diverted on shorthaul flights or returning to their origin is crazy often after holding for quite some time.

Any estimate whether this will be cleared before midday tomorrow?
Don't think it's too serious as southbound trains have passed the blockage. 1H35 mentioned above still hasn't moved, though.

Edit: 1H35 is on the move now. Passed Penkridge 161 late. So all appears OK there now.

Looks from Traksy to be a blockage between Swanley and Sole Street! Might be interesting for the morning trains...

For some perspective, I don't think any landmass in the world is currently getting battered the same way the British Isles are currently, looking at this:
