Basingstoke and Salisbury are both Band C depots for drivers, which don’t get any London Regional Retention Allowance (only Band A and B depots do).In addition, is retention and outer London allowances included same as drivers?
Surely not with drivers on £77k now?Circa £60K for a driver manager !
Circa £60K for a driver manager !
It’s at least on par with drivers, probably a couple of % higher. Don’t think there are many NT on the network. And that’s for fully qualified driver managers as opposed to “non technical” DMs? Seems very low.

SWR drivers are now on £77k so there's no way their managers are on less than £80k surelyIt’s at least on par with drivers, probably a couple of % higher. Don’t think there are many NT on the network.
Thank you! I wonder if that will be a bit less now ASLEF have had their pay riseWhen I enquired pre pay rise driver managers were on £10k more than mainline! Or that was what I was told

It was 8% extra a few years ago, as I understand it managers didn’t receive a rise for at least one year and when they did get a rise it wasn’t backdated. When I enquired pre pay rise driver managers were on £10k more than mainline! Or that was what I was told
The only advantage of a manager role is the potential working hours of Monday to Friday 9-4! Take that away and the only benefit is gone and you’ll then spend all your working hours around the same 4/5 problem drivers who know ASLE&F will back them up and you’ve got a situation where you hate work!
Not for me but good luck if you apply
