Is it just the E300s passing to Stagecoach or are the E400s going as well?

My understanding is the plan is/was to sell all 29 E300s to Stagecoach and transfer the trainers, E400s, B9s and Streetlites elsewhere in First (including transfers to Rochdale)?
It seems a bit strange to send it to Essex for repainting as surely there are places nearer Manchester that could have done the job.The image

Mardens do a lot of work for First Essex and Ensigns, but yes I agree it is a fair distance!
Yes that it what I was told too. Possibly 63096-63102 (if/when they get the other three!) would probably go to Rochdale with the Amazon work?
That would make sense, as all the new Volvo BZLs are due into Stockport around that time. It would make sense to transfer the repainted ADL E400MMC's to North Manchester, as they will no longer be required at Stockport, and to replace stuff at Queens Road and Oldham depots that is either too old for franchise operations or is being transferred away.

I wouldn't get overly carried away just yet, we still haven't quite got a full paint supply sorted and the scaffolding has been delayed, so no deckers yet...
We're still brush painting them all, with the best coach paint in the business. To be honest though, the sprayed buses aren't wearing any better than ours so it really makes no difference...

Thanks for the update, I’ll not get too excited just yet.
Are they still planning to send out for repaints? Just thinking spaces will be filling up as we get nearer towards tranche 2&3. Although Stagecoach seem to be doing theirs in-house and looks like first are using Marsdens (which is a bit of a treck!)

Nothing is set in stone yet. Some will go out as interiors need refurbishment but that will start to be done in house eventually aswell...

Quick one, noticed a few of the newbies have tiny fleet numbers, are you waiting for new stock of the regular size ones?

Would it not make sense for the paint shop to have a vinyl printer for the smaller items and only order in the full body wraps?
At my pharmaceutical company we had one just for making things like emergency signage.

Well, it depends... who's going to be making the stickers because I certainly don't have time when we've buses to paint... I used to have one when we were under FirstBus and I hardly got near it or I had to come in on a weekend to do them...

More new arrivals at Bolton consist of:
Fleetnumbers have now arrived and buses are being fitted with them as and when they arrive from ADL and when they call in the garage from service.

Afternoon, thought I'd drop in a quick update after a hectic start to the week.
New and old arrivals at Bolton consist of:-
Plus former Rotala Citaro 33015 (now GNW 6252) has now entered traffic following outstanding works carried out by Diamond NW.
Solo 4201 has been repainted but is awaiting type specific vinyls which should arrive next week.
Its place in the paintshop has been taken by Enviro 200 4035.

When is it expected that the last of the loan MMCs will be heading back? It can’t be far off now. Also what’s happening with the Classic E200s? Are they staying for longer?

There is no set time, just as and when they are no longer required. Given that some of our legacy buses are still away being fixed, it'll all depend on circumstances.
What do you mean by "Classic E200"? The normal ones ex Diamond or others?

I was referring to the ex First examples that are on loan, Im not sure if Go-Ahead have bought them outright though.

As far as I've been told, they've been acquired and will eventually either be cascaded through the group or refurbished into Bee buses, I think alot depends on the former Diamond stock to be honest...

Good morning,
Former Diamond E200 4035 has had its repaint completed and has returned to the garage for some final jobs to be carried out before it returns to traffic.
It's place in the paintshop has been taken by Citaro 6252.
Speaking of Citaros, former Diamond 6242 has been returned to Rotala due to its poor condition. It's not yet known if it will return.

Those Citaros seem to be very hit and miss. Seem to be some good ones and some that never seem to be on the road for long…
