Bogie overhaul & H exam175001 has moved to Ilford last night from Crewe... unknown reason.
Any idea why Ilford? Those were previously done at Longsight.Bogie overhaul & H exam

Is that general maintenance or is that in preparation for hand back? (Obviously, exams are every X months/years so that would have been planned for a while no?)Bogie overhaul & H exam

175001 is now at Ilford as well, for heavy exam and maintenance.I was at Holyhead last Saturday but didn't see 001 in the sidings, so maybe somewhere in the loco shed area?

Thank you, is 175006 at Holyhead too175001 is now at Ilford as well, for heavy exam and maintenance.
006 is at Landore.Thank you, is 175006 at Holyhead too
Not the first time no, but the first time covering a Mk4 yes.Trust is showing 197018 on 1V46 14:30 Manchester Picc to Cardiff today. If that's accurate- is that the first time a 197 has worked a Manchester to South Wales service?
Thanks. I didn't realise they had done before. Not the first time no, but the first time covering a Mk4 yes.
I don't think 175109 is at Crewe ETD for Tyre Turning. The lathe has been out of action for at least a couple of months. TfW units are being sent to Canton for tyre turning. DB engines are being sent to Toton for Tyre Turning.
175109 was in service on Monday 14th as I saw it from my train window. Definitely still around. Thanks for confirming re: the lathe, I wasn’t 100% sure myself which is why I said I can’t confirm what it went for!
It definitely worked into the ETD on Weds 16th on 5T09, and left again on Friday evening, 5D75 back to Chester. So 175109 is now back on Chester depot.
That service had 2 set swaps enroute, amazing even for TfW!175009 just worked the last passenger train for a 2 car under TfW. 1D13 11.08 Birmingham International to Holyhead between Shrewsbury and Chester.
Hopefully they have a home coming to them. That service had 2 set swaps enroute, amazing even for TfW!
Sad to see the 175/0 going though, but maybe happier days await them somewhere else...
If it's too big to upload, or the wrong format - take a screenshot and post that?I have a better photo, but the forum doesn't accept it!
