We take an easy 0.5 mile walk to the Brunswick Place bus stop on Western Road and wait for the 0240 Brighton & Hove Buses service N5, riding to the terminus at Patcham, Mackie Avenue, arriving at 0305 Sunday morning.

With the pleasant yet quiet Patcham offering nothing at this hour, we then board the 0312 Brighton and Hove Buses service N5 to Brighton (Clarence Square), arriving there at 0334 in the early hours of Sunday morning.

That's a train diverted by engineering work Paul. It normally goes to Cardiff

Whilst you beat me to it, I was going to post:

We take the 0845 ferry to Gosport, arriving at 0849 Sunday morning

Paul, just because you made an error doesn't mean you can't replace it :)

We then head to the bus station opposite, where we board the 0910 First Hampshire service X5 to Fareham (Bus Station), arriving there at 0957 on Sunday morning.

I am well aware of that option, but until I was notified of the engineering works involved in the posting that I had made, which also incorporated a most correct posting, then I had no option other than to strike-through my posting and let the new posting stand, as I stated at the time.

Any replacement posting that I would have made AFTER that point in time would have led to the same sorry situation that occurred on this quiz not so very long ago.

We have time to book our tickets before boarding the 1035 National Express Airport Coach service 206 to Poole (Seldown Coach Station) that arrives there at 1220 on Sunday afternoon.

We take the First in Wessex Dorset & South Somerset X53 departure at 1330 from the adjacent bus station, and travel to Lyme Regis Square arriving at 1652 on Sunday afternoon

It is a difficult situation - I had in fact posted my move to Gosport before I had seen Paul's posting. I then spent a few minutes double checking things before pointing out the problem. Maybe I should have waited a bit longer - but then that could have made things worse

I see. I just thought that because you crossed your posting out due to an error, it meant you couldn't replace it and that you thought you had to leave it at that, but having since found out from dzug2 that he posted Gosport beforehand, I suppose it makes the matter different.

We take the four minute walk to the bus stop on Anning Road where we board the 1743 First in Wessex and Dorset service X31 to Poundbury (Queen Mother Square) that arrives there at 1902 on Sunday evening.

We then board the 1947 First in Wessex and Dorset service X31 to Dorchester South Station, arriving there at 1958 on Sunday evening.

Transferring to the Piccadilly Line, we then board the 1038 service to Earl's Court, arriving there at 1114 on Monday morning.

This is the exact journey I did when I landed at Heathrow after coming back from China over a year ago. My gosh what memories!

It seems if you spend long enough on The Transport Game, eventually you come across a move similar to one you've done yourself in real life. I had one too, in the Levenshulme area of Manchester.

We leave Earl's Court Station and board a London General route 74 bus at 1132, alighting at Marble Arch at 1214 Monday afternoon.

We're in a bit of a sticky situation here at Ashchurch for Tewkesbury. There's a 42 bus to Cheltenham that departs at 1926, yet our train only arrived at 19223, and the rules do say that we need to allow at least a five minute connection time where it is not stated, so that marks that bus out. It is also the last bus of the day.

Staying on the rails, the only departures in the next two hours both only go to Worcester, otherwise there is a 2202 south to Bristol, but that's over the two hours permitted at any station.

I would rather take the 2202 as I think heading back to Worcester is stupid, but in order to comply with the rules I think we have no option other than to board the 2011 First Great Western service 2E27 back to Worcester Shrub Hill, arriving there at 2027 on Monday evening.
