We see Birmingham Moor Street just a stones throw away but alas are bound by the rules of our universe to stay firmly on Carrs Lane.

We pace the street up and down till 0725 when we board the National Express West Midlands service 31A which takes us down to the delightfully named Robin Hood, Southside. After Robin Hood Island on Stratford Road at the time of 0809 Thursday Morning

About a year ago you would have been able to on the game!

Heald Green seems to have some magical significance in this game

The minimum 10 minute connection time affords us the chance to obtain some food before joining the 09:46 Northern service to Eccles arriving at 10:36 on Friday.

Is that move allowed because they share the same name?

They are not exactly next door to one another from what I can see.

Also the Metrolink map doesn't list it as a Railway interchange, like they do with Altrincham and Ashton Under Lyne for example.

Assuming it to be valid we will press on...

Finding the one minute connection time a little to hot to handle we have no option but to let the 1102 go on without us.
We are however able to hop aboard the 1114, Metrolink service to it's end at MediaCityUK at 1120 on Friday morning

The two locations of the heavy-rail railway station of Eccles and the terminal Manchester Metrolink stop are Eccles are a considerable distance away from each other.

Whilst I agree that the heavy rail and light rail systems at Altrincham are contained in the same building complex at Altrincham Interchange, the new terminal Manchester Metrolink stop at Ashton-under-Lyne is quite some distance away from the heavy rail railway station there and a major road runs between the two sites.

So we are allowing the move?

If not we are at Eccles 1036 Friday morning

If so we are at MediaCityUK at 1120 on Friday morning

Game moves

Walking

You may not walk between stations of the same mode although you may walk to a different bus stop at the same location for example by crossing the road in order to travel in a different direction. You may also walk when changing modes but only to a stop serving the same location.

I think that the actual physical distance between the two Eccles sites is such as to rule the posting there as invalid.

Not that I have not called a HOLD, just giving my opinion.

Yes, both stations serve Eccles but they are in different locations so that isn't a valid move. When changing modes, the stop for the mode you wish to change to must be either within the a station (like at Wimbledon) or immediatly outside (including the car park) or clearly shown as serving the location (for example a bus stop named "Barking station"). We remain at Eccles at 1036 on Friday with DanTrainMain185 having priority to post the next move until 2200 after which time it becomes open floor.
