Hi all,

I passed the assessment day yesterday and I'm waiting to hear back from TPE regarding the results of the MMI. Just wondering from others who have been successful what the timescale is between assessment day / DMI / medical to job offer?

I'm really not sure how I did in the MMI, but I wasn't asked any questions related to the SJE and only answered questions on four of my five situations- the assessor said she had covered enough without using the last situation! I've heard this could be a good sign, but i'll just have to wait and see.
Hey , well done !!!! DMI was around 10 days after assessment day

I'd given up hope.

Around 1 week until results of MMI came back and then 1 week after that until the DMI.
DMI results were almost instant, medical the week after and start date around 2 weeks after the medical.

Good Luck.

Thanks for the information. It's going to be a nail-biting few days I think!...

Just a point to note as well… I had around 3 weeks notice from employment offer to start date, so was unable to provide my former employer with sufficient notice.
Although if I hadn’t taken the start date, who knows where I would be now given that it was around March 2020…

I passed my psychometrics with tpe in Feb 2020. Never did get offered a DMI afterwards, so good job you did take the start date!

I’m sorry to hear that. I would imagine we were completing the tests around the same time as well.

Have you progressed with any other company since or waiting it out to see what happens next?

Thanks for that. It's something I'll have to bear in mind if i get that far!

Yeah, I start next month with a different TOC as a trainee. Gutted it wasn't with TPE, but to be given a chance elsewhere is a blessing!

Who knows what five or so years down the line entails for me. But for now im over the moon with where i'm off to.

I've passed the assessments and awaiting the result of the MMI.

Does anyone who has been successful with TPE know the specifics about relocating? When do they ask, what are the timeframes etc. I'm within the hour at certain times of the day but it's traffic dependent and can fall outside of the hour. Relocating would mean selling house and moving kids out of school so it's not going to be a quick process. Not looking to jump the gun so to speak but be prepared as I understand things can move quickly at this stage.

It’s odd that it’s only 8 weeks, I wonder if they expect some to not pass the 8 week mark so don’t want to put them on full whack
It’s my understanding that it was an agreement made during the COVID saga, so that fresh trainees who were having to sit at home still had some incentive to stick with it. It’s yet to be rescinded.

The advert states live within an hour, evidence will be requested at the interview stage, no mention of relocation.

No you don't need to take it to the assessment day. You just need proof of identity and some documentation with your NI number on it.

Thanks. What proof did you take for NI number? I have my NI card but not sure if anything else that shows it, unless it is on payslips.

P60 shows it, I think your card should suffice but don’t quote me on that. A quick google search should tell you correct sources of NI proof. I printed off last years P60 and that was fine. Obviously passport and driving license show address etc.

I think your card is sufficient, one of the guys I was with had his. I used a pension statement as it was what was at hand..

I’m currently employed but came from being self employed so not even sure what a p60 is or if I have one haha.
I’ll do some googling

I took my p60, although I'll second what chaser said- Two guys just brought their NI cards and that was sufficient.

NI card is fine. It doesn’t get more legitimate than that. I used mine and it was accepted.
