I'm not sure what the units actually were, but the Cardiff Bay Shuttle today was, in lieu of a single Dogbox, formed with 4 carriages. Super strengthening for a Festival of football being staged there.

Just as well. Apparently Cardiff Bay has been absolutely rammed this weekend.

I didn't think P1 at Queen St was long enough for 4 carriages - when i've seen a single 150/2 working to the Bay it's only just fit in P1 at Queen St. Obviously this is an illusion though if 2 x Pacers can fit into P1, but I doubt 2 x 150/2s can?

It isn't, the Bay shuttle was using platform 2 when strengthened.

Dan there was also the set GWR chartered for the day , after the Weymouth wizard it did a couple of Cardiff Bristol shuttles before a run to Paddington around 4am, it was 11 carriages long.

Sunday services are like that on the Cardiff to Portsmouth services on any day, let alone the day after the final!

Totally unsatisfactory. Let us not forget that two loco hauled sets will be stabled out of use in the North, one in Crewe and the other in Holyhead.
