Is it?

It seems to be hidden - if I look on their website I'm offered a £6.60 ticket for just the X38 or £5.40 for the Derby area.

(Screenshots below show these prices on the Arriva Website)

yes I can only find a £6.60 day ticket on the X38 I don't know where the £3.50 ticket is coming from, and highly doubt it exists since the £3 single increase...

It is confusing. Maybe only available on the bus. The Derby zone ticket is now valid to Burton on x38 (only route they have to Burton), so no idea why there is a more expensive x38 ticket on the website anyway.

Of course, in Derby there are different day tickets, one valid inside the Inner Ring Road.

Notts and Derby Enviro 400 worked the 12.05 dupe fast Derby to Ashbourne Swift service today, with 329 on the service bus. No idea what worked the 11.35. Most odd that they tracked as 1030/1031.. It certainly wasn't the Mercs.

Yes, just for two days. Surprised to see them as since last year, the Swift has gone half hourly.
Even said on the website that they don't expect to run extras but will have buses on standby if required so there must of been a few traveling.

Didn't look too many to me...Last year there was a big queue. But I guess they have to be certain intending regular passengers can get on...

If they're trying to use it to encourage passengers onto their buses, they've missed a trick... Especially as the Zone map for the Derby ticket on the website definitely doesn't include Burton.

Also some changes to the Centrebus 27/27x as they become the LC5 and 5X
And the Central Connect 93, extending it to Nottingham- even more competition for the mainline!

I know much of Bingham trusts the mainline, even with alternative options, and it's the only bus to serve Central Radcliffe, so its likely to continue to be successful.

Are there any changes apart from the renumbering?

The 58 becoming the LC10 gains a couple of extra later journeys.
27X to LC5/5X is just a renumbering, no change to timetable or route.
58 to LC10 as you say does involve an improvement, extra later journeys and the service extended to serve Market Harborough station.
44 to LC4 sees a service reduction. A number of villages lose service (replaced by new FoxConnect services) with the peak frequency reduced though off-peak frequency for Fleckney, Foxton & Kibworth is similar (slightly varies between every 90-mins & 2-hourly).

There won't be any competition if the Mainline is every 10 mins and the 93, presumably, will stay hourly

Does anyone think there's a chance of 669 becoming a depot 'pet'? This would obviously be very unusual, but to say it's lasted for so long as one of the sole Scanias in the fleet, and apparently new repaints being directed to Langley Mill, is it a possibility?

Maybe it will just replace the Tempos in the driver training fleet

703 went back to Langley Mill yesterday from Derby depot I assume for repaint. And 734 reentered service after 2 months off road.

728 730 and 731 join 729 in red all just awaiting vinyls.

703 wasn't looking in the best condition for a trentbarton vehicle (yes it was meant to be temporary but it lasted a lot longer with the 'sorry about my appearance' vinyls than originally anticipated I think).

Apparently replacing some Solos/SRs on ilkeston network (30s) out of Langley Mill. Quite nice to see some volvos carry the new trentbarton livery/identity, they suit it quite well!

Yes but 728 is actually vinyled up

Categorically not. There's a plan for it.

Replacing the older solos 472 and 473 as far as I know and one is already up at TM.

Was just curious did they order the yutong Flixbus and redarrow coaches together on one order or 2 separate orders?
Was only asking bc they stated when they announced they will start Flixbus operation that it will commence spring 2025 which aint far now so assuming it's 1 order new redarrow coaches may be arriving in the next 2/3months with the Flixbus ones?

It's not officially confirmed but the trips which look like they will be operated by TrentBarton/Wellglade (extra 004/005s which start/end in Derby and 002s which start/end in Derby) all seem to be bookable from 12th June. Flixbus may move this forward but as of now, that is what can be booked, and with how the vehicle duties work, it strongly suggests that this is the current scheduled date for TrentBarton/Wellglade to start operating Flixbus.
