I've sent answers by PM, I'm not sure if that was what I was supposed to do though.

Eh. PMs can be too slow. This was way too easy anyway (sorry!).

Sod it - I'm answering!

Arsenal - Emirates Stadium - FPK (Finsbury Park)
Aston Villa - Villa Park - WTT (Witton)
Chelsea - Stamford Bridge - IMW (Imperial Wharf)
Everton - Goodison Park - KKD (Kirkdale) You guys let me down today :(
Fulham - Craven Cottage - PUT (Putney)
Liverpool - Anfield - KKD (Kirkdale) Boo!!!
Manchester City - Etihad Stadium - ABY (Ashburys)
Manchester United - Old Trafford - DGT (Deansgate; what's wrong with the Halt - MUF - though?)
Newcastle United - St James' Park - NCL (Newcastle)
Norwich City - Carrow Road - NRW (Norwich)
Queens Park Rangers - Loftus Road - SPB (Shepherds Bush)
Reading - Madejski Stadium - RDG (Reading)
Southampton - St Mary's - BTE (Bitterne)
Stoke City - Britannia Stadium - LGN (Longton)
Sunderland - Stadium of Light - SUN (Sunderland)
Swansea City - Liberty Stadium - SWA (Swansea)
Tottenham Hotspur - White Hart Lane - WHL (White Hart Lane (!))
West Bromwich Albion - The Hawthorns - THW (The Hawthorns (!))
West Ham United - Upton Park - WEH (West Ham)
Wigan Athletic - DW Stadium - WGW (Wigan Wallgate)

If I'd done it straight off instead of dawdling I would have been done first!

Bring on the Lower Divisions (the Conference anyone?). That would be more challenging <D

And sorry to anyone whose attempts I've just spoiled. No-one has said how we are supposed to "enter" though...

I'd need to translate the 3-letter codes into station names first. But other than that, yeah, I was thinking I could do this :D

What gnolife said! There are enough of us who can claim to be proficient in both ticketing and football knowledge for this to be a cinch...

Having said that, I converted the codes to names without even thinking about it. Oops.

Southampton threw me a little bit - I was expecting St Denys rather than Bitterne for it.

That said, I was also thinking MUFC halt or Trafford Park for Old Trafford.

There is not station within three-quarters of a mile of St Mary's. However, extend it to 2km and Southampton Central, St Denys, Bitterne and Woolston are all within range! As for Manchester, not including the Halt the nearest station is definitely Trafford Park.

There are several others I'm not sure about either; the Britannia is nearer Stoke-on-Trent than Longton for example.

I would have thought that Drayton Park is nearer the Emirates.
I'd also take issue that West Ham is the closest station to the Boleyn Ground (correct name). As the crow flies, Forest Gate and Woodgrange Park are both nearer (by 100m or so).

Have we successfully sabotaged this thread already...? :|

I wonder what we'll have tomorrow? The shortest stretch of line to have three consectuve stations (I would suggest Farringdon to Blackfriars or alternatively somewhere on the Coryton line, unless either side of Canary Wharf is valid!)?
--- old post above --- --- new post below ---
...do we have any indication of a second round at all?

That wasn't too bad. Couple of awkward ones, such as ALP and KSL, but nothing particularly difficult.

The list then (note that where I know the sponsorship name, I have used it; otherwise, I have used the traditional name):

ACR = Accrington; Accrington Stanley @ Crown Ground
AHT = Aldershot; Aldershot Town @ Recreation Ground
ALP = Althorpe; Scunthorpe United @ Glanford Park
BDQ = Bradford Forster Square; Bradford City @ Valley Parade
BEH = Bedworth; coventry City @ Ricoh Arena
BFD = Brentford; Brentford @ Griffin Park
BSC = Bescot Stadium; Walsall @ Bescot Stadium
BUT = Burton-on-Trent; Burton Albion @ Pirelli Stadium
CAR = Carlisle; Carlisle United @ Brundall Park
CHD = Chesterfield; Chesterfield @ B2Net Stadium
CNM = Cheltenham Spa; Cheltenham Town @ Whaddon Road
COL = Colchester; Colchester United @ Weston Homes Community Stadium
CRE = Crewe; Crewe Alexandra @ Gresty Road
CRW = Crawley; Crawley Town @ Broadfield Stadium
DDK = Dagenham Dock; Dagenham & Redbridge @ Victoria Road
DON = Doncaster; Doncaster Rovers @ Keepmoat Stadium
FEN = Fenny Stratford; Milton Keynes Dons @ Stadium:MK
FTN = Fratton; Portsmouth @ Fratton Park
GLM = Gillingham (Kent); Gillingham @ Priestfield
HPL = Hartlepool; Hartlepool United @ Victoria Park
HWY = High Wycombe; Wycombe Wanderers @ Adams Park
KSL = Kearsley; Bury @ Gigg Lane
LEM = Leyton Midland Road; Leyton Orient @ Brisbane Road
LPT = Longport; Port Vale @ Vale Park
MCM = Morecambe; Morecambe @ Globe Arena
MIH = Mills Hill; Oldham Athletic @ Boundary Park
MTP = Montpelier; Bristol Rovers @ Memorial Stadium
NBA = New Barnet; Barnet @ Underhill
NBT = Norbiton; AFC Wimbledon @ Kingsmeadow
NMP = Northampton; Northampton Town @ Sixfields
NOT = Nottingham; Notts County @ Meadow Lane
OXF = Oxford; Oxford United @ Kassam Stadium
PFY = Poulton-le-Fylde; Fleetwood @ Highbury Stadium
PLY = Plymouth; Plymouth Argyle @ Home Park
POK = Pokesdown; Bournemouth @ Dean Court
PRE = Preston; Preston North End @ Deepdale
PRL = Prittlewell; Southend United @ Roots Hall (like I wouldn't know that one :p)
RCD = Rochdale; Rochdale @ Spotland
RFY = Rock Ferry; Tranmere Rovers @ Prenton Park
RMC = Rotherham Central; Rotherham United @ New York Stadium
SHF = Sheffield; Sheffield United @ Bramall Lane
SHR = Shrewsbury; Shrewsbury town @ The New Meadow
SJP = Exeter; Exeter City @ St James Park
SVG = Stevenage; Stevenage @ Broadhall Way
SWI = Swindon; Swindon Town @ The County Ground
TRR = Torre; Torquay United @ Plainmoor
YRK = York; York City @ Bootham Crescent
YVP = Yeovil Pen Mill; Yeovil Town @ Huish Park

I'm 95% certain that is right; 98% allowing for the possibility of outdated sponsorship names or the odd missing character in the case of SJP.

Sigh. One silly little error caused by jumping straight to Exeter City rather than naming the station first and one mix-up (with Grimsby Town of all teams).

St James Park and Brunton Park are the correct details relative to the accidental errors above.

Question: If you've "hidden" said post, does this mean that we no longer receive Automatic Deletion messages? Or, alternatively, is hiding posts actually something you can do?

Just unapproved it. It is not deleted so you don't get a PM.

Brundell Park is neither here nor there.
