81 all out. All so predictable.
Extraordinary. Pretty useless performance by England. Only positives are the 4 and 5 wicket hauls for Leach and Root respectively. It is the shortest completed test match since World war 2.

Well Indian pitches are usually spinners paradises. I mean a long time ago I played 3rd and 4th team club cricket as a leg spinner. I wouldn't be surprised like you if I got a wicket or 2 in that match if I was playing.I'm not sure it was that positive. I'd fancy myself to get 2 or 3 on that pitch!
I am sure that Shane Warne would have enjoyed bowling on such a helpful wicket as that one.Well Indian pitches are usually spinners paradises. If we had a Warne or Murali, they wouldn't have prepared such a spin friendly pitch...I am sure that Shane Warne would have enjoyed bowling on such a helpful wicket as that one.
Exactly, not holding much hopeI can't say I'm over the moon about Dom Bess turning out for Yorkshire in the summer. If he can't take wickets and keep the runs down on the spinner helpful wickets at Madras and Ahmedabad, what chance will he have at Headingley and Scarborough?
Yet another England defeat on 14/3/21, this time in the T20 competition. This England team is second-rate at best, in nearly all departments.England's T20 squad got off to a good start yesterday in the first game of 5 against India yesterday. India making 124-7 off their 20 overs and England knocking off the runs with 8 wickets in hand and 4.5 overs spare.
It seems England has favoured the limited over format for a few years with the white ball generally favouring the bat.
It's a shame Ch4 didn't secure the rights for the limited over series but oh well.
Before yesterday's loss, the England T20 team were no.1 in the world rankings!Yet another England defeat on 14/3/21, this time in the T20 competition. This England team is second-rate at best, in nearly all departments.

Win the toss ( and bowl) win the game seems to be the order of things! Too one-sided for my liking.Third Twenty20 International
India 156-6
England 158-2
Kohli was the mainstay of the Indian innings, but Buttler in his role as opener shone when England replied, hitting 83 not out from 52 balls (4 x 6 and 5 x 4), ably supported by Bairstow (another of our wicketkeeper batsmen we have been fortunate to have), saw England take a 2-1 series lead.
Yet another English defeat today, so they have lost the series in all 3 different game formats. They are indeed SECOND-RATE.Before yesterday's loss, the England T20 team were no.1 in the world rankings!
I'm no jingoist, but I think that's a bit harsh in the context of the 50 over game. India and England each won a game easily with the last one going to the wire, in Indian conditions, admittedly without spectators. Almost all England's players played an acceptable part, the possible exceptions being Morgan and Buttler, and T.Curran in his one game. Roy gets bowled too often for a frontline batsman, bit like Tom Moody for Australia in bygone days: significant that Moody never made a test batsman either.Yet another English defeat today, so they have lost the series in all 3 different game formats. They are indeed SECOND-RATE.

I suspect that, not for the first time, you hit the nail on the head. You neither watch or understand cricket. GUARANTEED.
It was a very good innings by a number eight batsman, with 95 not out from 83 balls, with 3 x 6 and 9 x 4.Great effort from Sam Curran though. Still only 22! A real prospect.
England still head the ICC ODI rankings...Yet another English defeat today, so they have lost the series in all 3 different game formats. They are indeed SECOND-RATE.
Is this the same ex-Lancashire player named Hameed who scored centuries in both innings (unbeaten in the second innings when he batted all day) this week to enable his new county to draw the match? With r/e to Hameed, many with more knowledge of cricket than I have suggest that due to his broken finger/thumb (now repaired obvs) he's psychologically avoiding being hit again - and he might not know that he's doing it; and playing the wrong shots. No idea how right or wrong that is, there are coaches and all sorts paid to work that out.
