Any ideas why it would all still be open and certain people wouldn’t have heard following the VI?

Morning all
I am aware there are obviously A LOT of people that apply for the positions.
I believe they take it from approx 7000 per role to 150 for interview.
So each of the 3 min questions needs a person to review it. Imagen that workload.
I believe they are also waiting dates from the Driver managers for availability to interview. So that is likely the delay ...
Whittling numbers and availability of people to interview
The next intake is likely 20th June ... So time yet. Then Sept!

That makes sense. Although waiting isn't great and gets your mind overthinking, there's so much to go through for the whole application process. By all accounts from what I've seen on other threads, the recruitment team is a small team and the workload they currently have is a lot. I'm just happy to be in the running so far and hopefully, get an interview when dates are available.Morning all

Most have to give 1 mth notice, so 20th may
Now get everyone through interview, assessment centre and medicals ... Should be interviewing by mid April.
A week's + notice to interview, should know next week or after!?

Do you think that because I have applied around 1 month ago after you have applied, even though I am successful for the video interview, they won't me go on with the next step because there have been other successful candidates that applied before me?It was uploaded on Feb 10th. I reckon they're probably working thru in batches but won't make a final decision until they've seen enough candidates that pass both interview, psych and medical. They may have it where they are doing two cohorts so one starts in June and the other later in the year.Hopefully. I don't know if anyone has noticed .. a closing date of today (16th march) has been put on the LNER careers site for the apprentice driver Newcastle post.
So ... Could be some contact in the coming weeks!

That’s interesting. Initially there was a closing date for last month, I’m sure there was anyway. Then it came back up with no closing date. Perhaps they’ve got the numbers they need now to go to interview etc.Spot on ... Well done!

Have anyone sent the video interview over in the late February or beginning of march? I have sent mine at the beginning of march, and I am still waiting even for sending ti them my GCSE ... I don't know if after almost 3 weeks , the fact if not having got any enail asking ne to send them the GCSE is a good sign or not...

I think it might just be a timeline thing - like I was first to be asked for certs then I think it was a couple of days/ a week later others were asked for them. There’s a good chance more interviews will be sent out in the coming daysFind it strange only a couple have got dtm interviews.
