When 216 comes back in Indigo livery, no doubt. Interesting though that 472/473 are compliant, but 497 batch are not.506 is euro 6 compliant which there was talks of it transferring to TM Travel

If needs must, then it'll happen. It's happened in the past to the likes of H1 and Black Cat and currently Skylink Derby is running with less branded ADLs than its PVRYeah i get that, but wouldnt make sense to leave the brand short of branded busses, especially since I heard that was one of the main reasons they repaired the likes of 804 and 841. May be wrong about that though
The little sixes solo has never been replaced so the sixes has a permanent spare as well.If needs must, then it'll happen. It's happened in the past to the likes of H1 and Black Cat and currently Skylink Derby is running with less branded ADLs than its PVR
Ahh, I wasn't aware of black cat, but I had forgot about h1's.. Skylink was probably due to repaint time, probably more desirable to have in service instead, especially given the reliability of the route last year.If needs must, then it'll happen. Hopefully this gets a branded bus soon when the versas on the route inevitably get replacedThe little sixes solo has never been replaced so the sixes has a permanent spare as well.
Skylink Derby has been at least 3 branded buses short ever since the frequency increased to x15 mins (current pvr = 16).If needs must, then it'll happen. It's happened in the past to the likes of H1 and Black Cat and currently Skylink Derby is running with less branded ADLs than its PVR
Makes sense to have 1 less branded up for greater flexibility within the fleet. If needs must, then it'll happen. It's happened in the past to the likes of H1 and Black Cat and currently Skylink Derby is running with less branded ADLs than its PVR
They have and it makes it much easier to allocate buses to routes when some routes have less branded buses than their PVRI'm sure NCT have done this previously too with some routes previously.
Okay, look how many buses in the Trentbarton fleet are older than the Nines Enviro 200MMCs. Then look at which routes make the most profit. Maybe I could see a cascade of fairly new buses onto the route, like the Keyworth. But a key point, is the COVID years seriously dented all bus businesses, delayed investment etc.Speaking of new vehicles, I would've thought the Nines should be coming up for replacement (or at least a refurb) quite soon. At 9 years old, they're starting to look a bit tired, and having 4 pots on a long route must take its toll. For what's a well used route, I would've thought it'd see some investment soon. Since the current machines are shorter as well, these could finish off Trent's Solos.
There are no imminent plans for new nines vehicles.Speaking of new vehicles, I would've thought the Nines should be coming up for replacement (or at least a refurb) quite soon. I believe it was up for sale with Birmingham Busworks along with another Omni, so it will probably be in use until a buyer is found by themI dont know, last I heard they had two moving up and notts and derby were acquiring coaches in replacement, the coaches plan fell through and that was the last I heard. I notice 1175 (YN06 JYO) has returned on bustimes (was supposedly sold..) so could indicate they still have a bit of time before the omnidekkas are gone...
Hopefully they do get refurbished, definitely worse than the later batches of MMCsThere are no imminent plans for new nines vehicles.
There were talks about refurbishments though.
However is is a very busy brand and some of the nines ADLs are touching 800,000 miles & they certainly have some issues at the moment.
There's a lot of potential with it to do a lot more with it, too.
They drive pretty well for saying the age and type of work they've been doing.I believe it was up for sale with Birmingham Busworks along with another Omni, so it will probably be in use until a buyer is found by them

Just got to try and get an ADL in that red now!Ex villager Volvo 703 has returned from paint and is now red same as the ex Keyworth Volvos
Ohh, yes... I've always wanted to see a red MMC...Just got to try and get an ADL in that red now!
Well you should never say never. It'd be nice to see one of the mango versas in red too.Ohh, yes... I've always wanted to see a red MMC...
If I recall, there was once a plan for two of the 24 plated ones to be red, but those two got painted into the two extra Ilkeston Flyer brandOhh, yes... I've always wanted to see a red MMC...
We've already got red Versas, but it would be nice to have more. I've been told that going forward the Mango brand may not be put on as many buses as it has been over the past few years. It makes sense as I've overheard on a few occasions that passengers are mistaking it for a route brand!Well you should never say never. It'd be nice to see one of the mango versas in red too.
A different route brand, or even a different bus company. Certainly heard of people who have claimed their bus has not come, but it had, and it was a Mango bus. Reminds me of several years ago, when I was waiting at the QMC for an I4, and the Indigo painted spare Volvo turned up. I raised it with Trentbarton and got the reply. "It isn't Indigo, it is purple".We've already got red Versas, but it would be nice to have more. Makes you wonder how many people missed the bus back in the day when the frio livery was in use!A different route brand, or even a different bus company. Many years ago, in the days of NBC, they wanted a single colour. The bus would not spend so long off the road.Pretty much what we've been told, too.
Also the cost is cheaper of the livery, although I believe the circle vinyl (with the colours) is considerably more expensive.
Well, you certainly saw it coming.. Even had a go driving one at an event.Pretty much what we've been told, too.

I find it odd that they upped the number of busses bound for the flyer but not the Mickleover would have been nice to have their frequency increase have all the same standard of branding. If I recall, there was once a plan for two of the 24 plated ones to be red, but those two got painted into the two extra Ilkeston Flyer brand
I think in the case of the Ilkeston Flyer upgrade, the BSIP funding came in time for the ADL order to be changed... At the time I thought there were 6 spares, a mix of red and Mango. The two extra Ilkeston Flyers would have seen the spares all painted in Mango. At that time, the service increase on the Mickleover would not have been in place,so it would not get any of the order. As time progressed they just got 105 and 106 back. To allocate extra resources, you really need sufficient passenger numbers and revenue to cover the additional costs.I find it odd that they upped the number of busses bound for the flyer but not the Mickleover would have been nice to have their frequency increase have all the same standard of branding.
I've lost track of the sheer number of buses in Mango livery. That's the problem of being a company so heavily reliant on a diverse range of colours and brands!A different route brand, or even a different bus company. Indeed..These days I don't care whose bus it is. All it has to do is turn up. Came into Derby this afternoon from the Royal. Arriva VDL on 38 turned up, and stopped so I got on . Still not sure where the other 8 passengers appeared from, as they weren't there when the bus appeared. No matter the condition, the ride quality was better than an Enviro 200MMC. More solid rideThat's the problem of being a company so heavily reliant on a diverse range of colours and brands!
Maybe they think prospective users have not got the message.I've lost track of the sheer number of buses in Mango livery. Why on earth do they need so many ?

718 "X38" has a new new MOT as of today.
At one time, in NBC days, they tried NBC livery with no white bands. From your comment, one might suspect the "stripes" cost a lot of money. I guess they worry about that, when the Enviros have a bang. That's progress...
You'd shudder if you knew how much the 'stripes' cost on the threes branding.
They do indeed! None missing on mine tonight. At one time, in NBC days, they tried NBC livery with no white bands. From your comment, one might suspect the "stripes" cost a lot of money. I guess they worry about that, when the Enviros have a bang.
