    Class 319 wheelslip

Yesterday on a journey from Manchester to Liverpool during heavy rain, the train seemed to be slipping quite a lot on accelerating away from stations, it seemed to struggle to get up to speed. It certainly sounded and felt like there was wheelspin on acceleration. it also happened on the return...

Liverpool Disruption 28 Feb 2017 - RAIB report released 30/11/17

They can't even get it right when they do report it - the traffic lady on the radio has just reported the disruption as being at London Liverpool Street! Now unless there also happens to have been a wall collapse there, this is inexcusably inaccurate reporting. Very sloppy. I imagine now there...

Virgin, CrossCountry, Northern, East Midlands Trains ( Liverpool - Norwich), Transpennine Express (Manchester Airport - Cleethorpes) and Arriva Trains Wales (Manchester - South Wales) all call at Stockport. You're right there are very few that are served by that many. i can only think of two.

    The "Name the Station" game

I admit I wasn't sure about the 156 part but it seemed to fit the other clues I would like to have another guess if I may?

Oldest stock you've travelled in on the network.

Oldest trains I remember travelling in would be the class 101s that still lingered around the Manchester area, in the mid to late 90s. They were about 40 years old by then.
