suspect that DC motors may not be being overhauled as the plan is to replace them but they are failing faster than they are being replaced
I assume it is the DC motors that are failing so with 5 trains at Acton being converted to AC motors I would expect that there should be 5 trains worth of DC motors available for use as spares at any one time? Or am I missing something.

Was there not a suggestion of switching the freight lines from west side to eat side happening north of Leicester?
The main lines to use the east side island platform at Leicester and the slows using the west side island.
Can someone please explain why having both AC and DC together at Basingstoke is a problem please? I see both at the same platform at Ashford Kent with trains switching systems there.
