Southend Central has the occasional eastbound train to Shoeburyness through platform 3. There's one this evening at 18:36 (according to Realtime Trains).

    Shenfield after Crossrail

Thanks for all the replies, especially the complete line diagram. I thought the dive under was too useful to lose - particularly with the planned increased frequencies on all lines around Shenfield.

    Shenfield after Crossrail

That's a part of my question really. With increased frequency (12 tph in the peaks) will Crossrail use three platforms (4, 5 and new 6) leaving just the other three (3,2 and 1) for Greater Anglia services?

    Shenfield after Crossrail

Will the dive under to the Southend branch be retained with the changes made at Shenfield for Crossrail? At present, this runs from the Electric (Local) Down line (platforms 4 and 5) - will it in future be linked to the Main Down Line (platform 3)? (I have searched the internet for an answer but...

    Deaths on the line

If such a claim were legally enforceable, it could only be made against the estate left by the deceased (before distribution to beneficiaries). Family / beneficiaries might therefore receive less they otherwise would have but will never be responsible for any debt.

BBC - Train Crew Shortages article

The article consists largely of statistics from official sources and quotes from TOC, union and DfT spokespeople. The article is attributed to Justin Parkinson, not to Christian Woolmar who only comments that drivers tend to travel farther from home to work than they might have done in years...
