Apparent 2-day TC failure on ECML Stoke Jcn - Tallington

When i travelled up yesterday afternoon, the UF was closed Stoke Jcn - Tallington, all services on US, at a time cost of 5-7 mins. A TC was marked as 'FAIL' on the OpenTrainTimes maps, which happens I guess Today, looking at the maps as I travel back, the UF seems still closed as services are...

Bad day on the ECML 31/3/2022

Well, it looks like a heap of problems on the East Coast today. Item tangled in the wires Morpeth-Newcastle, broken train Newark-Grantham, and some fairly desperate measures to restore some service in the remaining bits! I believe some other issues earlier as well. I'm sure someone on here...

    ECML delays morning of 30/10/2017

All at a stand at Newark until just now. 0535 to KGX arrived 4E but departed 53L. Apparently a train stuck near Grantham. 0606 to KGX just left Newark 0640. A number of cancellations as there was also a failed train outside Leeds. As the lady in the buffet said: "I do love Monday mornings on the...

Held 4 mins before Alexandra Palace both DF snd DS plus carriage washer stationary. Now diverted via Hertford, they say 'to reduce the delay'. Ph well, it's been a while since I...

    East Coast Storm problems

Not a good night for the East Coast. Earlier wind damage caused delays near Chester-le-Street. Some delays. Now Grantham Station has roof damage which means platform 1 is closed to traffic. Reported cause is 'gale-force winds in the area' which is plausible but not sure if it's really that...

    Metrolink tram failed mediacity

Tram 1021 failed at mediacity this afternoon - seemed the drivers could not get control from the 2nd cab when reversing at Mediacity. Resulted in next Piccadilly shuttle using Platform 2, which seems fairly unusual given the rust on the rails.
